Good quality, holds lots of discs, has a few extra pockets.

I love this backpack. Was able to fit the majority of my discs in it when using both the top and bottom pockets. How many fit total really depends on what kind of discs you are using, along with the brand. In general, you can fit more drivers and midrange because they tend to be thinner than putters. This is a good solution for players who want an assortment of discs for different situations, such as stable, understable, overstable, floaters, and varying distances. (And those unfortunate situations when one or more get lost on the course). Because the bag holds so many discs, it works well for carrying a companion’s, too. For instance, I often go disc golfing with my wife and daughter—because they play casually, they don’t need a lot of variety. On top of that, there are two different pockets to hold water bottles (or snacks). The only thing to consider is that the pockets don’t hold larger bottles. The bottle I use is 8.5-inches (8 ½”) tall and 9.5-inches (9 ½”) around. I was unable to fully zip the pocket shut because the bottle was slightly too tall. That said, the bag was still able to carry it without the bottle falling out. Just the top stuck out a bit. There is a pocket for score cards, should you use those (I personally use the UDisc app). Instead, I store a couple of mini discs in there, which are used for marking your disc position when throwing. The quality of the materials is good and there are no flaws in the zippers or stitching. I’m impressed with the way this pack is built, overall. The bottom has extra padding for setting down on dirt and moist ground. One thing to keep in mind is that, once you load it full of discs, the bag gets pretty heavy. If you end up lugging it around a large course on a hot day it could drain your energy fairly quickly. Might be worth looking into a cart or a bag that comes with a cart should that be an issue. If you only fill it halfway that might not be a problem. Just something to keep in mind.

This Franklin disc golf bag is pretty decent for the price. It's a bit small, it only holds a dozen or so discs comfortably (claims to hold 18), but for most disc golf players that's more than enough. The straps feel sturdy and have held up nicely so far (about 2 months) and are fairly comfortable, about like a backpack. I wish that it had a pocket on the side for a water bottle - I know the pictures say it has a water bottle storage pocket, and I suppose you could stuff a water bottle in there, but it would be VERY tight. An open pocket for a water to sit in would be ideal. However, for the price, this is a great starter bag for disc golfers and gets the job done.

A perfect bag does exist!

For years now my husband and I have been sharing a small little bag that doesn't even zip cause it was so full. We also had to bring a second bag to carry water bottles/phones/hand sanitizer etc. We LOVE this bag! it holds all our discs and has room for more! The top section of the bag is so deep and can hold our snacks/keys/wallets/sunscreen/etc. so we can do a full day of disc golf if we want. The side pockets have a little mesh extension and is a perfect fit for our water bottles. There is also a front pocket that is lined with a really soft material to keep our phones in and not worry about them getting scratched bouncing around with our keys and such. Our old bag was a one shoulder sling and this is an actual backpack so it's much nicer to carry around and now we only have to bring one bag for everything vs two. I used the flash in my photos and you can see that the strips on the side are reflective (not that that adds or detracts from the bag, just thought it was neat). This bag is perfect and will last us many many many years of disc golfing!

Love it!

Wow! This is an excellent disc golf bag. It’s high quality, sort of reminds me of my son’s baseball bag size wise. It can hold 18+ discs!!! Just keep in mind how extremely heavy that would make this if you did put all 18 in there. The straps are comfortable on the back. Could be padded a little better but it is more than a typical backpack. There are more than one pocket. You can put the disks in the main big one, clothing or snacks in another. Drinks in a side one. They are some heavy duty zippers but for the amount of weight all of the things in there would be I might say they should’ve been upgraded once more. It is water resistant! So no need for a little rain cover for your backpack! Overall, it’s great. Carries everything I’d need. Well made. So far it’s been durable and has lasted the entire season. I’d recommend it.

Great for holding all of our discs but extra storage space is smaller than preferred.

This Franklin sports disc bag is functional and holds all 12 of our discs nicely with enough room for several more. The material is lightweight and the zippers work fine. The shoulder straps are padded and adjustable. The storage areas are not as large as we would prefer but are okay for smaller items like keys, phone, score cards. Like many Franklin sports products I have tried, this disc carrying backpack bag is functional and well-made but it feels just mid-range in quality on the material used.

Great backpack to haul your discs and necessities

This is a review for the Franklin Sports Disc Golf Backpack This is a great bag to spend a day at the course. I also have a disc golf cart, but quite a few of the courses around me don't have the best terrain to haul a cart. This backpack has nice, padded straps so even full of discs, it's not uncomfortable on my shoulders. I like the dual pockets allowing max capacity of discs. There's pockets on each side to carry water, a towel or sunscreen. I use a grabber tool as well for retrieving discs from water or trees and I can stick it inside the bag and zip around it so it stays secure. I really enjoy this backpack, I've been using it for approximately 2 weeks now and I play disc golf several times each week. A great bag, very worth it!

Love this

I got this for my husband as a Father’s Day gift to promote leisure and self-care activities. He loves Disc Golf and uses our old diaper bag to haul his discs. This is a huge upgrade! Great storage, comfortable to wear, and added cool factor because it is specifically a disc golf bag. I recommend this product to all disc golf enthusiasts, and, it is a great gift option for the guy in your life who works hard and deserves a break.
