Great set of adjustable wrenches. Very giftable.
Item received was exactly as pictured. This is a nice and sturdy set of adjustable wrenches. I love having 4 different sizes so you always have the right one. The person I bought these for loves them and asked where I got them so he can buy them for someone else. I used them a few times at his house and they far exceed my older Craftsmen adjustable wrenches. The grip and adjust lever are much easier to operate on these. Would purchase again if ever needed.

Great set of wrenches...
Not sure what it is with Irwin tools, but they all seem to have left-over oil residue. I love almost all of my Irwin tools, but the last three purchases had that brown lubrication oil in the joints (on the pliers or wrench screw), that wound up getting on my clothes, because it got on my hands from simply using the tool. Short of that, Irwin makes great stuff.

Seem to be well made. Nice grips. Also comes with a nice organizer for them to just drop straight into the tool box if you choose

Superior to wrenches twice their price!
Watch this set closely because it can be had for just under $40 if you are patient, and what you will receive feels like a steal! I have A LOT of tools, I won't deny it, but I'm an old grey-haired engineer that fixes EVERYTHING myself... I purchased this Irwin wrench set to help round out a set I'm putting together at our other property so I don't have to keep bringing tools with me. This set will overshadows anything you can buy new from Craftsman, Kobalt, and Crescent at twice the price! The set I received all operated smoothly and without the annoying slop typical of most every brand's adjustable wrenches these days! If it matters to you, I checked the jaw opening versus laser etching of size with a caliber and they're pretty good, not exact, but good. Not something I use for an adjustable wrench anyway, but if I did I would point out the etching is a bit faint, but smearing with a bright paint marker and wiping the excess off would allow them to stand out. I'm pleased with these, and think even the most extreme DIYer would be too! If you're a pro, the only adjustable wrenches you're looking at these days are Kleins.

Good tools at a good price, but not great.
It's hard to beat four wrenches at this price. Their tolerances are good, and they are perfectly fine investments. However, I have to downgrade them at least a full star for two shortcomings: 1) The finish is dull and the markings on the sides are hard to read. So while it's nice having metric on one side and inches on the other, I struggle to read the settings and have to hold them at any number of angles to get enough reflection to make out the numbers. 2) While they do have grips that will help to prevent slipping, they are hard and square. In no way "comfort grips" or as ergonomic or helpful as they could be in assisting you. That aside, this is a very economical set and a good addition to any Irwin tool set. As for me, I invested in Channellocks instead. The markings are extremely easy to read, the grips are great, and they open significantly wider.

Best I could find....
UPDATE: 3-20-16 Well it's been about a year and these are still the best set of adjustable wrenches out there. I had a friend that needed a heating element pulled out of his little 110 heater and even the wrench that was made for just that unit could not get it to budge. These are so precision made that I was able to use the big wrench on the very ends and still break that baby loose. No cheap set of wrenches can do that. These are really nice, Very precision made and good quality. I looked everywhere for a good set of wrenches and could not find any this nice. Worth every penny. I work in the RV/Solar Industry and am always using these for battery bays and such. The rubber handles make it easy not to get nick named sparky : )

I would buy these all over again
The wrench's are great. I work at a factory and always need to fix my machines when they go "down". These do the job and they do it well. My only quirk is this. For some reason I was expecting the handle to be a soft touch material. I'm not sure what gave me that impression. Anyways, it is a hard plastic (still comfortable though) just a bit of a let down since I was excited about a soft handle. Opps

Made in China if I knew they were made in China I would not have purchased them. I thought Irwin made quality tools, it appears they don't!
