Cute but annoying

This was the final set I needed to complete the Hape dollhouse. I was excited to have a table & some dishes for my daughter to play with. It’s a tight squeeze in the kitchen with the other set so the buffet needs to float on one of the open sides making it a bit awkward to reach around. If you even touch it the slightest, all of the plates fall out. Could use a better to keep them in. Other than that, it’s a nice set.

Hard to use

I can barely use/ arrange the plates, cups and silverware. My daughter cries in frustration when she touches any of the smaller peices because it just crashes to the floor. They are accurate size for the dolls, but incredibly hard to use for small hands

Good quality, durable pieces, questionable paint job

This is a nice dining set for our dollhouse. I renovated a Mellissa and Doug Multi-level dollhouse I purchased at a thrift store, so I was searching for furniture that would work well for this space. I purchased this set because it had 4 chairs (many other brands only had 2), and it was important to me that there were enough chairs for all doll family members. The chairs can also slide under the table. It can sit the Tender Leaf Toys wooden family with some effort. I did not prefer the lime green color, so I lightly sanded over the green areas and repainted, which was easy to do with this set. I also painted the handles to the buffet table to coordinate. The plates/utensils/mugs are what won me over to this set vs other brands - I like that it included accessories. My only critique is that the pitcher was not painted or glued well. I was able to cut away and remove the extra glue with a razor blade and painted over the poor paint job around the top of the pitcher. Not bad, but expected a little higher quality control from Hape. Despite that small imperfection, I would recommend this purchase.

Attractive with BONUS miniature Dining Set - Love!

If you're deciding between this set and another brand's dining set, this is why I think you should get this one: it's super cute and sturdy, the colors are great (not a neon-green), it's sized for a standard 1:12 dollhouse thus will fit most (my daughter has the Le Toy Van) and as an added bonus, unlike other sets I've seen, this comes with a really cute cutlery and dining set (4x knives and 4x spoons (not pictured), 4x plates, 4x mugs, 1x pitcher). As with all Hape sets, the cupboard doors open and close (see pictures) and my 2.5 year old daughter finds it exciting to play with! At first I wasn't sure I wanted to pay the few extra bucks just so she can have the dining set, but it's actually what makes this set so realistic as compared to others, and as you can see from the pictures, my daughter loves playing with it because it allows her to pretend and play with more scenarios! However, I've deliberately kept the cutlery from her because I feel she's a tad bit too young with that. It does state it's for ages 3+ . Happy with my purchase!

Perfect

We got this to go with the All Seasons Dollhouse, also by Haba, so it naturally coordinates with the furniture that came with the house. It fits nicely in the kitchen (as in lower right corner of photo), but it could also be spread out to fill a separate dining room, if desired. The dishes are the correct proportions (more or less) for the dolls, so be careful to keep track of the tiny forks and knives. Overall, it's very fun, and my children love it. I would recommend this.

Lovely!

Love this set and the little cups and saucers! The tiny silverware is adorable but easy to lose unless you have older children. I just taped mine under the table til they get older.

Really cute, pretty good quality!

I thought this set would be cute for my little girl and her calico critter dolls and it works perfect for them! I repainted the backs of the chairs gray because I wasn't a big fan of the bright green, but other than that, love them! She loves the little pitcher, I have yet to give her the tiny plates, cups, and utensils because shes 2 and too little for those still. But for an older child I can see those additions being a hit! These Hape products are nice, I was pleasantly surprised to see it came lacquered! Other wood doll furniture I've gotten has no finish and so I had to do it myself as to prevent splinters. With these though, not an issue! You can see little of the glue in a few places, but it's not very noticeable and doesnt bother me.

Great product!

Amazing construction for the furnitures. Love the little pieces i.e. plates, knives and fork and glasses. They’re so adorable. Nice addition to our dollhouse. My daughter love playing with it. Package arrived surprisingly the next day. Will order from amazon again. Happy with my purchase.

Why 4 stars...let me explain...

Firstly I am a mother and this was for a child to play with not for a collectable dolls house. Good points - really good colour as it's not pink or blue. It's good quality wood and well made - no glue all over it etc. It finishes off the kitchen area well. Bad points - why does a small child need tiny plates, cups and cutlery? It's just a bit much for a small person as they will be lost/swallowed/chewed. However if you want a wooden dining set for a dolls house for a child buy this ????

I purchased this for my grade one classroom. I took out the small pieces as I think they will get lost. Good neutral product and sturdy pieces for pretend play.
