I was impressed, and that's not easy
First, I was surprised that the wine rack was so easy to assemble. I had thought that I would have to buy a rubber mallet to tap the pieces together, but the pieces fit together easily. The unit is much stouter than I thought it would be. The pieces are made of bamboo cut into sections and then glued together like plywood, then cut into its final shape, making it very strong. The risers were also much thicker than I thought they would be. People who are handy (that's not me) could screw one or two 2" by 1" (by ~ 39") strips to the outside of the top and bottom (and perhaps some of the middle) risers and make the wine rack into a single unit, except for the two top rails. A lot of homes have a C- or L-shaped kitchen wall configuration that borders the back of the sink and/or appliances. These walls often have a countertop that overhang the outside of the wall by a few inches (mine is 5 1/2 inches), creating dead space under them. The 72-bottle wine rack (the one I bought) was pretty clearly designed to fit under the overhanging outside counter. The counter does not hang over as far as the height of an entire wine bottle, but the wine rack fit neatly into place and allowed me to use that 5 1/2 inches of dead space as part of the space needed to store wine. Because the pieces of the wine rack are not firmly connected together, moving the wine rack, even if empty, is problematic. Be sure to assemble the wine rack exactly where you want to use it.

4 Star Product - Not Real Wood
I knew this was not real wood for the price. This is pressed together wood with a lacquer coating. It went together super easy and is flimsy without a load on it. Once you put wine on the rack it becomes very sturdy. the lacquer coating makes this where you cannot stain it. Its a decent looking rack overall and for the price I am buying more. One user stated to run a strip down the back where the main vertical supports are and I will likely do that just as a preventative measure. I would NOT store this on carpeted areas or where the ground is not level or where the floor would move at all.

useful but flawed
I bought two of these, both the 36 and the 72 bottle sizes, and think that they're useful but flawed designs. Pros include the bamboo materials used, as bamboo is a sustainable, natural resource that is suitable for the purpose of making wine racks, and the cost, which is reasonable given the many alternatives. They also look pretty good and fit into many spaces. However, there are two glaring flaws that the manufacturer could easily have avoided: 1. the packaging used is of very low quality and when the purchaser unwraps the pieces the styrofoam panels break into many hundreds of tiny pieces, which result in a rather serious mess that must now be cleaned up. In fact, when my second unit arrived I unwrapped it with my vacuum cleaner on standby, that's how many tiny fragments the consumer must deal with when unwrapping them from the original packaging. 2. the grooves for the bases of the bottles are too small to accept Chardonnay or Pinot Noir bottles (see associated photo showing 2 bottles that fit, and 2 that do not). And this means that some wine bottles will nest as expected while others will not, and will sit on top of the grooves rather than safely inside of them. It also means that some bottles slide in and out of the rack with ease, while others barely clear the rail above and removing these from the rack can be a bit tricky. These errors could, and should, have been avoided. Assembly is easy and takes mere minutes except for the associated clean-up that is a function of the poor quality packaging used and the many hundreds of styrofoam fragments that make quite a mess. These racks had potential, they could have very adequately met the needs of wine lovers the world over, while being built of attractive, sustainable materials, but because of the packaging and the design flaws, they are troublesome and less than they could have been. An opportunity missed.

Awesome product!
Super easy to assemble … less than 10 minutes needed and it reminded me of my Lincoln Logs set I had when I was a kid ???? Sturdy and reliable as if you don’t need all the shelves you can simply pull a couple off. We just love it!

Great rack for the price
This was easy to assemble and once the weight of the bottles is on it, it’s quite sturdy. My only complaint is that it doesn’t fit Rhône/Pinot Noir bottles well. The cutouts are too small for these fatter bottles and if you have several next to each other, it compounds the problem and you won’t be able to fit 9 bottles across. Turley bottles? Forget about it. Other than that, it is a great value. I bought the 72 and 36 bottle racks and put them together to hold 108 bottles. Well, a few less due to the Rhône bottle situation.

Nice product, but big gap
I think this is generally a good product, but the two posts that hold up the wine are a little too far apart. The bottle can easily slip through and drop down, hitting other bottles on the way down if not full rack.

Sturdy and compact
I use it in my wine cellar. Easy to put together and you can separate it to make more than one rack.

I did not know it could be so simple.
I got myself into a larger collection of wine than I could handle with the shelves I was using. I knew I needed a wine rack of some sort, but I had no idea what was available. I looked for wine racks and ran into this. The claim was that it was easy to put together, and it seems pretty cheap. It was simple to put together. I did not find it as easy as some of the reviewers suggested because I had not done it before. A second time it would be as easy as reviewers suggested because I would understand what to do first and what to notice. It works and it sits very nicely full of wine bottles.

Does not hold all wine bottle types.
Looked nice when searching. But when I recieved it I realized it only holds standard bottles. Some wines with wide bottoms will not even fit into the shelves. Far to much money for a rack that only holds specific types of bottles. Other ones on Amazon for a third of the price. Still have to use other rack to hold wide bottom bottles. Defeated purpose of new rack when I now still have to use old one.
