Solid, well-made comfortable seat.
Bought after seeing a guy had a coupla thousand miles on his Lectric bike. Asked him what seat he liked. This one. Stylish, very well-made, and comfortable. Not ridiculously big, but big enough. I’m 235 lbs. like it a lot! Fairly priced. Only downside was it didn’t come with a seat clamp. Had to take the one off my original Lectric seat and install it on this one. Not overly difficult but a seat at this price should have a post clamp.

Cruiser seat on a Mountain Bike. This one actually looks good!
The media could not be loaded. I'm a man about 5'10" 200lbs,and I bought this seat because I'm motorizing my 1999 Trek 930 and wanted something more comfortable. I tried about 6 or 7 saddles before this one. While others may have been comfortable they made my skinny and sleek mtb look silly all because of the appearance of the saddle. This Selle Royal Drifter is growing on me though. First off it is really comfortable on my short rides down the street intentionally hitting bumps and curbs, it's really nice, but what I've found to be very important to me is also the appearance, and I took several photos and a video to let others decide. The number of pictures might seem excessive, but different angles can really make a difference in deciding on thumbs up or down in the looks dept..Now at this time I say that it's growing on me as far as how I like the looks, and I am also going to "fatten up" the appearance of my bike with a 2 stroke engine and a seat post gas tank right under the seat, so I'm taking that into consideration. The thing about a cruiser seat on a mtb is that a lot of mountain bikes are most straight lines and corners and a big fat round seat floating above it all can really make me cringe when I'm being picky. Anyways I think this Drifter seat has enough style to combat the possible uncoolness of a cruiser seat. The springs point downward like little spikes, and the silver rivets in the back are a nice touch as well. I'm going to remove some of the branding though especially the white and blue branding on the top. For anyone that wants to know, I got almost all my fix up accessories from Amazon. NCY Z bar handlebars(narrow), Thomson BMX stem 6 bolt. Avid Single Digit 7, Avid Single Digit 7, Kool Stop Dual Compound brake pads, Kenda K838 tires.

Not quite a pillow for my butt!
This saddle is not as comfortable for me as some reviews indicate. I have it on my lectric ebike. I'm 5' 8" male and 185 lbs I also found it somewhat difficult to get it adjusted to the level I wanted. I find it starts to be uncomfortable after about 30 minutes on very flat concrete golf cart paths. I paired it with a Zoom suspension

Once you get this thing adjusted correctly it is very comfortable... for a bike seat.

Selle Royal Drifter Gel saddle
I will start by saying I had 2 brooks saddles that this is replacing.. the B190 and B67 This is a much better saddle for me anyway, I liked the B190 well enough, but that front spring was just in the way of you know... This selle royal has royal gel whatever that is, but it does make for a great ride when sitting/riding in the upright position. I had no problems with going numb or any issues for that matter. I wish I would have tried this saddle first, cause I dont think I would have even tried the brooks and be out those bucks. Give it a try, the packaging has a 120 day comfort guarantee written right on it. I am keeping mine. I am done saddle searching, remember I am using this saddle for upright position riding I am sure that would make a difference . BTW I am a 300 pound rider too. ( for now) Plus it is not Brown and it does not have GEL written on the side of the seat as shown... it does say drifter on the side and royalgel on the top .

Cool design
Bought this saddle for my wife's mountain bike. Has a cool look and flows with the bike's design. Great quality and shock absorption. Does not include a fastening clamp so be sure to check if your current clamp is compatible with the saddle rail.

Comfy seat with OK looks.
I've put about 25-30 miles on this seat and I like it so far. From the manufacturer's picture I was expecting something slightly different in shape BUT after putting it on my bike and using it I'm happy with it. I included a picture for reference since the manufacture picture is an odd angle IMO. This did go on a cruiser (Haro Railer SS) and the erginomics of that particular bike causes the seat to rub your legs slightly when standing and peddling, iit's not bad BUT I've noticed it a few times. I imagine after time I'll adjust my stance slightly to remove that small gripe.

Great seat for ebikes.
This is the most comfortable seat I have found. I have built 8 ebikes and ride every day. I had this seat on one of my bikes for two years now and I have no complaints. After 800 miles and lots of weather, it still looks like new and it doesn't soak up water like most of the other ones I have tried. I will be putting these seats on all of my future builds. I'm not crazy about the price, but in this case, you really do get what you pay for.

saddle gel material is mushy soft yet still firm
For those that have yet to be introduced to SR, they are made in Italy, quality items that "Ships from and sold by" big man Jeff himself. Comes in retail packaging for store display. Bagged by FBA, shipped in their box. This replaced a much older and harder SR Xsenium that had elastomers. The Drifter has heavier saddle springs, but not an issue since it's going on an ebike. If you've made your choice to use a saddle with any kind of suspension, forget about the weight as they are all going to be heavy, and might as well go for this beast. The saddle gel material is mushy soft yet still firm, feels like a big saddle with a gel cover. I have never seen a SR so soft as the Drifter. I agree with the other reviewer that one fall with this seat onto concrete or asphalt can result in a tear. Maybe a rain cover can help? I can't believe they call this one a medium, and wonder what the next size up would be.

Super comfy!!!!
At 53, the wife & I decided to get back into cycling. The seat was the first thing that needed to go. I tried 2 other gel seats that didn't cut it. I'm 6'6 & 280 lbs. I was skeptical about how comfortable this seat was but trying is believing!!! WOW!!!!! I can now ride for hours. I also love the looks, all this and it's in the same price range as other inferior seats.

Only good for people under 120 lbs
Because there is no indent/cutout in the middle of the seat, weight from your sit bones causes the middle of this seat to rise up, just where you don't want it to making for a very uncomfortable ride. If you're a very light person - like maybe under 120 lbs - you may not have this problem. But if you're an upright rider of normal weight - look for a seat with either a cutout or indent in the middle - I would not recommend this one.
