Bigger than I thought....
Reviews are hard, so many differing opinions. For me the seat is wider in the rear than I thought. Not quite the comfort seat on a cruiser but wider than standard mountain bike seats. The relief cut through the seat is perfect, no pain, no pressure points, very comfortable. My legs don't hit on the seat but it does seem a bit wide. I first purchased a WTB pro gel speed she which seemed to be perfect width but the front had no relief and actually was taller in front than in the rear, which caused a lot of pain in front. Expensive test drive as local bike shop would not take back. The bike planet one was surprisingly cheaper and more comfortable. As a mountain biker, I don't usually spend too long on the seat most times, but I do run the local trails as well and so far it's a pretty comfortable seat. Seats are a personal choice based on a lot of factors. The WTB I tried got rave reviews from a lot of well known review sites, and was a more expensive seat and a bit nicer quality but it just was not comfortable to me. Let that be a lessen....read reviews, and purchase from a place were returns are welcome or better yet, look for a bike shop with a fit station, where you can try multiple seats quickly due to their set up for such purposes. The padding on this seat is a little thick but not painfully so, but only time will tell. I'd say that a relief in front of the seat is a must, padding is debatable some like more some like less. Bottom line: 4 stars for shape, 5 stars for relief and price, overall a good purchase for my non road bike use. FYI seat is 9 1/2" long by 7" wide. So it is slightly wider and shorter than your stock mtb seat which is about 11 1/2" long by 6" wide.

Great for rider comfort
I bought this for my wife, who rides a Specialized 26" Myka disc sport. She was experiencing extreme discomfort in her 'lady parts', her seat bones, and her lower back (probably from bumps in the road). I searched high and low for a seat that was comfortable, made for a woman, and one that did NOT look like a beach cruiser seat. I found this one and took a chance based on the extremely positive reviews. With the factory seat, the wife was forced to cut rides short due to discomfort in the above stated areas at maybe one or two miles. The pain remained debilitating for days afterward...keeping her from riding more often than once per week. After waiting just over a month for her to 'acclimate', her pain kept getting worse. Seat was installed today and we did just over ten miles. I actually planned on stopping after 5, but she insisted on going further...emboldened by the lack of pain and discomfort. Well, several hours after the ride, she is still pain free. Pain free in her back, her seat bones, and her all-important lady parts. We made a minor adjustment at the 5 mile mark of the ride to tilt the toe of the seat down a little. After that the wifey was in bicycle heaven. Even though we spent a lot of time on broken pavement, and she was running 55psi in her tires, this seat still came through with flying colors. Now, the last upgrade is a pair of Schwalbe Big Apple HS-430's in 26"x2.35". Read my review of the 28"x2.35" that I installed on my Specialized HardRock 29er Disc (hardtail). On pavement, it makes it ride like a full suspension bike with lots of pre-load dailed-in. They are worth EVERY PENNY. Regardless, this seat works perfectly for my wife and she loves it. She is also not ashamed to be seen riding it (it looks relatively aggressive). Highly recommended for the money.

Road bike rider sitting in the forward riding position I received the seat yesterday installed it worked with getting the position correct and went for a 40 mile ride The seat was wonderful took all the pressure off the middle and also allowed more air flow while riding I searched other seats and the cut out doesn't extend all the way down to the tip of the seat so if your going up hills and maneuvering corners you could get some pressure where you don't want it I purchased a road bike last season rode 2008 miles on the selle men's seat pictured first and got along mostly great except for the longer rides, this year I started having issues that I had to see a provider for who suggested a cut out seat to help relieve pressure I ride an average of 100 miles a week after last nights ride I did not have the irritation nor the moisture I typically have after a 40 mile ride which proves it offers better ventilation. I also was not standing up or moving around on the seat to get ventilation and friction relief I hardly left the seat the entire ride while on the bike The only downside I see after one ride is the padding in the back sit bone area isn't as comfy as the selle seat was so if your a newer rider you may experience some soreness for a little while even with padded shorts I looked at the selle royal respiro seat cost is same as this one which has the gel but the cut out didn't extend to the front as it does on this seat .. may try it down the road but for now this seems like it was the solution I needed

Comfortable.
Seems well designed for the female anatomy, gel support area could be more flexible and a bit wider, packaging of the product is spartan and for the price should include a post adapter and a rain cover like even cheaper seats provide, I'll call it middle of the road female seat for occasional riders.

This was not comfortable for me at all
I couldn't stand to sit on this seat for more than 20 minutes - could just be me, but I did not find it comfortable at all.

Very uncomfortable
The seat was solid and well made. However it’s advertised as a “women’s seat”.so I assumed that it was designed specifically to be comfortable for women. I had to stand up for most of a short ride because it was unbearably uncomfortable. Whomever designed this seat had better review the female anatomy.

Very comfortable and i've done two 60km rides so far. The cushions are where the sit bones are, so it's perfect even though I'm a bigger butt. LOL Easy to install. Very happy.
