Glad I spent a little more for real quality.
I bought this because my wife was uncomfortable using the “Sport” saddle (which I like, LOL) that came with our Echelon 5 stationary cycle. We decided to try a wider, women’s specific saddle. Tempted to buy in the 20-30 dollar range but my experience with “bargain” saddles on my road bikes told me to opt for a bit more costly Planet Bike version. She loves it and can do 45 minutes exercise with no pain at all. As a result, she is exercising daily on “her” bike and getting healthier. It has the added advantage of prompting me to ride “my” road bike outside more in spite of cooler weather in Fl. Than normal. Excellent buy and a good example of avoiding being “penny wise”.

Great Beginners Saddle
Let me say up front, a saddle is the most personal thing on a bike. The right saddle lets you ride longer and more efficently. The wrong saddle will make your bike a coat hanger. Also realize that if your butt hurts, it's possible you have not used those muscles in a few years. As you ride more you will probably be like the Three Bears until you find the one 'just right' for your riding style. After several years, my wife starting riding again. For her birthday I gave her a high end recreational bike, great for rail trails and smooth roads. As with most riders new to the sport, she immediately hated the narrower more performance oriented OEM saddle. Most new riders follow 'the bigger the cushion the better the ride' and don't take into account that a wider, softer saddle will interfere with an efficient pedal stroke. Early this summer, soon after getting her new bike, I popped this saddle on and tuned the seat post height. She immediately loved it on her test ride....around the block. After a few longer rides of about 10 miles and subsequent butt hurt, she asked to swap back to the OEM saddle, an entry level Specialized Women's Body Geometry saddle. She still did not like that one. She finally settled on something in-between with a Terry saddle. She finished her riding season happy.

Indeed a big difference
Bought one for my girlfriend that complained constantly about the ride quality on her Dahon-ECO-no-suspension-whatsoever bike that had a stock saddle covered by us in a gel padded cover. I insisted to try changing the saddle and did it somewhat against her will as she was quite reluctant that things could dramatically improve after the gel-padding cover investment. She couldn't be happier now :) It's true that when changing the stock saddle coming with her Dahnon, I discovered that she had the lamest excuse for a saddle that could ever be: rigid, with edges, no springs, no cushioning. So compared to that one, anything could have been an improvement! Still, she's so happy that I decided to buy the "men" version for me, even if I don't have big complaints about my actual saddle which is also Dahon stock (exactly the same "ECO" bike but bought a couple of years before hers), but mine having padding and springs (!). Probably Dahon entered recession and decided they could save a buck by moving production to a different area of China where quality was of less importance that's how it is possible to have 2 completely different saddles on the same model. I'll be reviewing the "men" Planet Bike in few weeks.

Relief, Relief, Relief
This is an excellent bike saddle. When I read the reviews, I was skeptical that it would provide the relief that was claimed. However, I have a sensitive sciatic nerve in my left leg, and after just 6 miles on my other saddle, it would start to bother me and go numb and tingly right down to my foot. Since the gel in my other saddle was starting to deteriorate, I got the ARS saddle. From six miles I worked up to 9 miles without numbness, and then the real test was this past weekend when I rode 15 miles nonstop. Some very minor tingling after that, however the improvement was so dramatic that it is really well beyond my initial expectations. I would recommend this saddle to anyone who has had sciatic nerve problems. It was firmer than my other saddle(which was also designed for a woman), and it seemed to just fit better. It was also easy to install and adjust to my preferred seating position.

Comfortable seat for longer bike rides
I purchased this seat a few months ago. After having used it for a while now I can say that it's holding up and is comfortable. This is the most comfortable bike seat I've had. It's not 5 stars because the image wasn't accurate for coloring and marking. There's ARS written on the sides in red and the seat is all black with black mesh fabric on the sides. Nothing too obnoxious but worth the note if you're expecting what's exactly in the picture. I'd recommend for anyone who will be biking more than 10 miles, I definitely don't feel as sore now that I have this seat.

Wife likes it. Tried three others and a gel pad before this.
A bit pricey, but it has finally relieved my wife's discomfort while riding. Install is a snap, seems to be good quality. As noted in other comments, the seat is firm, but that does not mean it is uncomfortable for extended use. I had tried three other seats, and a gel pad before this. I guess I would have been money ahead if this had been the first choice.

Bike Seat
It is different than my old seat. I can't really say it is better, just different. It seems that it is easier on my tailbone, I didn't hurt as much after my last ride. It is wider than my old seat so rubs on the inside of my legs just a bit. I believe over time I will be very happy with it.

Finally, not pain
Love this seat. My brother rides to work everyday recommended this seat. I was looking for a seat that I can ride for more that five miles without pain. From the first time I tried this seat, I knew I picked the right one. I highly recommend this seat too.
