Big Fan lots of air movement. Well made
Bought for my boat. This fan is bigger than it appears. The base is also large and kind of limits points of mounting. It has several mounting options so you have to think installation through. The pictures did not do installation justice. There are 3 axis of movement on this fan. The base is fixed and the primary axis pivots off the base and only allows the entire fan gimble assemble to pivot through 180'. On a clock this would be 3-6-9 and the primary axis will lock into these positions. To aim the fan there is a gimbal held by the primary axis. Once aimed fan position is held in place by friction in the gimbal pivot points. Very clean looking and well made with decent access for blade cleaning. It moves lots of air but I found the speed controller a little difficult to operate by touch alone while fumbling around in the dark. All in all a value.

Expensive for no apparent reason
First things first, this thing is stupid expensive. Not just a little more than most but in another realm. Still I read the reviews and decided to take the plunge and buy it for my teardrop camper...big mistake. Sure it moves a fair amount of air for it's size but the blades are not well protected and they hit my hand any time I'm working anywhere near it. The self adhesive tape that comes with it worked fine for a day until it got hot, then I found my fan laying on the ground instead of on the wall. You will have to screw it into the wall if it's ever going to stay put and I don't want to do that. The dumbest thing is the timer feature... I'm sure this adds cost and I can't imagine why anyone needs it... complete waste if you ask me. I'm going to keep it as I do think it's constructed well and will last a long time but I think you're just as well off spending less on a trucker fan.

Fan is amazing… after we had to rewire it.
This is our fourth fan of this type. We love them. However, this one came wired incorrectly. It was blowing backwards straight out of the box. The fan had to be opened up and the black and red wires switched. Then everything reassembled and connected. Huge pain, as the space is very tight and took quite some time to determine what the issue was.

Good fan; motor brushed clogged after one year of use
I've had my fan about a year and so far it's been great. Until this morning. It wouldn't spin on it's own, occasionally trying to turn a bit when on the highest setting. I took the center of the fan apart and removed the motor. Tons of carbon dust came out. I hooked it up to a bench power supply, and ran the motor at 15 volts. It screwed like a banshee for a few seconds then started running normally. Even more carbon dust came out. I put the motor back in the fan, and it's running fine - for now. But I will be buying a replacement motor just in case (I'm not sure if the brushes are replaceable but I don't want to do it).

Yes, buy this
We love this product. We bought two of these installed these in our motorhome and they are wonderful when you have power or off grid they are quiet and work great. You can turn them in any direction which is so helpful and the easiest fan ever to clean when needed. We are so happy we have them.

Installed in my RV
Here is a review more on the installation than on the use, as we are still in lockdown and cannot go camping. We installed this in a Airstream Bambi 16, as often doing dry camping. During winter, I tested the fan on the camper batteries and I was able to run the fan at full speed for days without having to charge the batteries. The electricity consumption is great. I like the fact that is can be oriented in any direction. It is quiet. The installation was fairly easy. I removed one the light fixture by the bed area to have my 12v power. I had to use the soldering technique on the wires as I could not access the hardware store to get the connectors. The installation looks sturdy. We will see after a few thousands of kilometres if that is still holding.

Excellent quality.
Very expensive but I’m glad I chose it. After trying cheaper fans I bit the bullet to get this one. I don’t regret it one bit. Well built, excellent functionality, quiet and powerful.

Cools down the van
Arrived early, easy to follow instructions, easy to install. Multidirectional, so it works well to cool my van when I sleep and when I’m sitting on the couch. Highly recommend

Bought Three - One Had Broking Locking Mechanism - WTF
Was shocked to find one of three of these super expensive fans to be broken. Of course Amazon took it back and sent me a new one. But now I need to waste my time going to the post office. Does Amazon compensate my time? They are a bit bigger than I anticipated. No issue for me, they'll fit, but as this could happen to others: Have a good lock if they fit.
