Great for scuba diving!
Let me start by saying that I bought this *free* diving watch to use for *scuba* diving. Not its intended purpose. If you are a free diver looking for a useful review, this isn't it. For scuba divers... I have an air integrated dive computer that has a bright, large digital readout. It does everything I need. However, it is large and I wear it on my forearm or on a retractor attached to my BCD. What I wanted was a wristwatch to quickly check the current depth and dive time, but not necessarily a backup computer. I also wanted to have a larger display to accommodate my older eyes. The Seac Partner is an affordable model and perfect for my needs. It is easy to use and easy to read. The display is LCD, which is not as bright as TFT, but much cheaper than those alternatives. The readout displays the information I want. I turned off all the alarm settings as I rely on my dive computer for those. Easy to do. I wouldn't say there are disadvantages to this device, if you want to use it the way I do. There are a couple of things to look out for. Since this is a free diving watch, the limits are assumed for maximum depth and dive duration. The factory settings for those maxima are 40 feet and 1:20, respectively. Note especially the latter limit. That is one minute, twenty seconds, rather than one hour, twenty minutes. Of course it is! Even though I had turned off all the alarms, these two still emitted an audible beep. Starting 80 seconds into my dives, I was one of those divers whose computer beeped constantly. It annoyed and embarrassed me for several dives before I figured it out. Bottom line, pay attention the scale and units of the maxima when you set it up. Also, some reviews will say that the Partner does not automatically start to measure when you enter the water. That is partially true. You must manually switch to dive mode before entering the water. Once you descend a few feet, it automatically begins measuring depth and dive time. It also automatically detects the end of a dive and switches to measuring surface interval. For multiple dives, I learned to put it in dive mode as I was suiting up the first time and just leave it in dive mode until I was finished diving for the day. At that point, I switched it back to time mode, where it displays the current date and time like a regular watch. Once again, easy and perfect for my needs. Overall, nice watch and affordable for my purposes. A very good buy.

Not bad for the price. You get what you pay for. It works.
I picked this up for a freedive spearfishing trip after I broke the glass on my Aeris f10. I couldn't spend $450 on a new one right now. I found this watch on a deal for $86. It does the basics of depth and dive time. It doesn't have recovery time but has surface time so you can use that instead. It does the basics. The screen is a little hard to read and it's hard to see the depth when you are under water. If you need a bare bones dive watch it works good enough. It's no camparison to my aeris/ oceanic but it was less than 1/4 the price. The layout on the screen could have been a little better designed so the depth was in larger numbers instead of small in the corner.

More a toy than a tool
The computer is so so. You can't operate the buttons underwater, which makes the item more of a toy for kids. Great if your kids wanna see how deep they can swim. Not much use for actual depths. I have given to my kids and I tend to replace with the Cressi dive watch. Really consider reviews before buying. Everyone's complaints are very valid on this item. Over priced for it's actual use. I would not reccomend for adult free diving/scuba diving. More for pool play honestly.

Its definitely not water proof
Not the greatest diver watch .in the manual it says don't push the buttons while underwater first off,and second there's moisture coming into the watch I know that I haven't pushed any buttons at all underwater and I wouldn't recommend this watch for anything water related just my opinion.

A watch that does not tell time
At first sight it looks like a decent watch the functions look great. I was not able to use it past taking it out of the box. It does not allow to manually change the time. It was off by 12 hours and two minutes. The settings only allow you to select the time zone but the time zone is not aligned with the current world clock. It is set to twelve hours in the future. I was overcome with sadness and disappointment, had to return it.

Great for beginners
It works. Been using mine for basic freedives and no problems. Been keeping the advice of not using buttons underwater.

Pure Scrap
I ordered 3 watches, one came with an empty battery, and one other has flooded after only one dive at 35 feet!
