Does the job!

I almost didn't write a review for this. After all, it's a set of tape dispensers. It dispenses tape, right? Well, I am really glad I bought this set because I needed one for upstairs, one for downstairs and one I gave to my daughter so her young boys would have one to use at the table when doing crafts. She was actually thrilled to get it because the one she had in her office was some kind of combo thing and she could't move the tape dispenser without taking the pens/pencils and some other stuff with it. Three problems solved! Thank you!

Great tape dispenser!

Absolutely no issues with this tape dispenser at all! Came in perfect packaging and it fits perfectly in my hand. It is my go-to tape dispenser whenever I need tape. What more can I say lol

Perfect for Requirements

This was a replacement for the same item sent from a different retailer which arrived broken, due to inadequate packaging. It was leaking sand everywhere, the sand being used for weighting. This one however arrived in perfect condition and was exactly as expected. It is strong enough to withstand normal use. It's not as solid as a big cast iron one we have but that is very heavy to move around and only takes big rolls. I wanted a dispenser specifically for Scotch Magic tape which I believe only comes in small rolls. It is stable enough to use one-handed and small enough to fit in a drawer. The ratings for Stretch and Sheerness I think refer to the tape (not included) rather than the dispenser; however, did not wish to mark down. The dispenser does have movement in the roller at the centre of the tape which cleverly assists with using. A small but very convenient item.

Not as good! Dull blade!

The blade on my last one had dulled. It's disappointing that Scotch don't sell just the blades as it's so wasteful to bin the whole thing because of a dull blade. So I buy this new one and the blade is no sharper than my dull one! What a waste of money and plastic!

Great for wrapping xmas presents

Its xmas, its the time where you cover everything in paper and try and grab the sellotape and find the end, then drop said sellotapr, the present unwraps and frustration kicks in so you grab the duck tape and have done with it. This removes that stress, load it up and you can quickly and easily with one hand tear off a piece of tape and stick that paper down. I've used those wrist dispensing things before but they aren't as useful or as easy to use as a good old fashioned tape dispenser. (For example the precut ones jam or lose the end very often!)

Excellent value

Every Xmas I was driven crazy trying to wrap my presents alone. I got the Scotch tape tangled, I needed two hands to cut bits of it. This tape dispenser makes it so easy with one hand only. Highly recommend it.

New model - Scotch C-38 Magic Tape Dispenser

Disappointed by the new updated model of Scotch C-38 Tape Dispenser, also called the C-38. It's 10% smaller in size and about 25% lighter in weight and irritatingly sounds filled with loose sand. New model has a white coloured logo, the old one was gold. Different moulding around middle with less grip. Overall looks and feels cheaper compared to the old C-38 model.
