Shoots/sinks well
This was the first real sinking line I’ve used for lake fishing. I needed something for catching cutthroat on Pyramid lake and this was what I grabbed for my trip. I was able to shoot it out pretty well but not as far as some of my friends, but that way have been user error. Seemed to sink well but not too fast for me while casting from the shore. I’m not that experienced with this line type so I thought it was good but there may be a little room for improvement. Results don’t lie though, we pulled several over 28” and 8#. Tight lines!

Sinks fast
This is fast sinking line. If you want inexpensive line that gets the fly down, this is it. Casts great. Suggest you get the same weight as your rod.

Absolutely a great deal!
What's to say? It's Type IV full-sink line. It sinks. Quickly. It catches fish. It does exactly what it's supposed to do, but for about $30 -$50 less than lines with more social prestige that do exactly the same thing. I know that makes me look coarse, but I don't wear sun gloves, a buff, billboard caps or this year's color anyway so I'm already a wardrobe pariah on the water. But hey, the line is charcoal gray so it goes with everything! I would have given the line 5 stars but being a 4wt it's thin and occasionally tangles itself into a doily which, though fouling up my next cast, makes the stripping apron on my pontoon look more attractive. Would I buy another? In a heartbeat. FYI, I've been flyfishing since 1969. I know good gear from junk. This is good gear.

Excellent and affordable product
It’s a very good product for the price, I think we shouldn’t waste in very expensive lines. It’s my opinion.

Good line but no loop
Good line but read closely as this line does not have a welded loop, not a big deal but nice to know.

Decent for Price - Horrible Memory
This line, like many entry level SA lines will get the job done on a budget, but it’s pretty awful if you’ve ever handled a better quality line. My spool has horrible memory, and doesn’t shoot like my other sinking lines (rhymes with schmio).

Great line, great price
I can not describe the quality or performance of the line. I'm waiting for the fishing season to open to try it in the Chilean Patagonia. It is a very good price overall, including shipping which was quite fast. I highly recommend the seller.

One Star
I received a box that was clearly opened with no line around the spool. Clearly used. REALLY ????

Supple line good value for price. Welded loops would be a benifit.
Preferred welded loops. They can be made by folding over tag end approx. 1 inch to form loop secure with overhand knot to main line and wrap both lines with 6/0 thread to cover both lines. Apply crazy glue for both lines to bond repeat 2-3 times forming a smooth surface. Let dry well between applications and than apply 2-3 coats of hard as nails-nail polish to the weld. Make sure line loop is dry between coats. Have done this for many years with variety of lines and haver never had the loop come loose.

Defective?
I’ve never seen such a thin 5 wt line and I own several. No taper whatsoever and half the length of a normal line. Box came held together with elastics and no label on the line spool. My guess is this is either a returned lighter weight line or someone chopped off the head of the 5 wt line and returned the remaining running line for refund. I even brought it down to a Canadian Tire to compare to their IV full sink WetCel lines and this one looks extremely short. No idea why they would send this out to a customer.
