An inexpensive, safety certified general purpose bike helmet

I liked the relatively cheap price and lightness of this helmet as well as it's neutral styling without flairs and pointy bits sticking out. No fuss and safety certified which is what I wanted. Why spend $100+ on a helmet with the same safety certification when you can get one like this for half the price? If I have one criticism it is that I can't get the buckles for the chin strap to sit under my chin out of the way while keeping the straps behind my ears. It has a triangular strap style that fixes to two points on each side of the helmet which come together at a single point with a movable slider before the chin buckle. This is a relatively minor detail, however, and otherwise I'm very happy with fit, comfort and safety.

Solid and Protective Feeling

This is a nice stylish youth helmet. You can use it for bike riding, or hoverboard riding. I got it for my kid to ride on his Segway. He says it is comfortable, and he looks stylish wearing it. The helmet feels solid, and safe. My kid never says his head felt hot or sweaty wearing it either. He hasn't fallen down while wearing it luckily, but it feels very protective, so I am not worried. If you are riding a scooter or Segway, this is a nice helmet to wear with it.

Well made and snug fit for safety

As you can see from the images that this is not your average helmet. The outer shell is a tuff lightweight plastic of sorts, and the inside has removable washable pads and behind the pads and in many area are a honeycomb style silicon red comfort protection that is comfy to the head. The helmet weight is the same as your typical helmet, but far more advanced. My son's old helmet was really worn out and the padding was non existence. I choose grey which seems to be a matte finish which allows him to color it, but he choose to sticker it up. Overall I'm glad I got this, just shocked at how advanced helmets have become.

Fits my son snuggly.

This is a great helmet, but it seems different than what I used to see from schwinn. There are compressive rubber inserts at various points in the helmet, based one what I read it is to decrease the inertia of a sudden stop by allowing for a bit of movement. Reminds me of what my Bell helmet has but more robust and reusable verse the rubber bands found in mine. This has thick protective foam, the same type of foam I see in modern bumpers on cars, a hard outer shell, and a adjustable harness that connects to those rubber bits I was talking about earlier. My son says it fits comfortably and it does not wiggle at all when it was tightened up with the provided adjusting part on the rear harness. I actually like this helmet a lot. A side note though, this is much heavier than my helmet but I do see Schwinn offer other options that do look lighter but still robust, but this helmet also works well when he is roller blading and that is why I got it.

A quality Hemet, with excellent ventilation

Built well but a little small for my head

My head measured towards the upper end of their range and it fits if I really push it down. There's no way I could use it like that though because I'd have a splitting headache after about 2 minutes. I like the design and everything looks to be really well put together though!

Need a stylish and protective bike helmet?

The Good: -Stylish -Protective -Comfortable -Lighweight -Ventilated -Easy to adjust The Bad: -None The Bottom Line: I’m using this Schwinn Sequel helmet everyday when I ride my scooter. The helmet looks great and is comfortable. It is adjustable and ventilated. It is lightweight and feels secure on your head. Overall, I would recommend this Schwinn Sequel helmet for its protection and style.

great fit

Schwinn Sequel ERT Youth/Adult Bike Helmet, Fits Head Circumferences 54-62 cm is a really great fitting helmet and I am very pleased with it. The helmet is really sturdy, well made, and heavy duty. I like this one a lot. Much better than the old helmet it is replacing.
