Post-op shoe
This shoe has been perfect for my broken foot I’ve had to wear this 24/7 for weeks . It’s lightweight & can adjust the tightness as much or as loose as you need . Because the sole is completely flat my doctor recommended an orthotic for my high arches . I could barely walk on it with out the orthotic.

image on amazon web site did not match product sent
This image of the product sent (first photo) is either an older or newer version of image on the box. The product sent has a buckle associated with the strap, and the velcro on the tip of the strap limits the adjustability of the strap. The (previous?) version that I have (see second photo) has no buckle and has unlimited strapping ability since the velcro strap can fasten anywhere on the shoe. If you're lucky and the product sent to me just happens to wrap around your foot and fasten tightly with the limiting velcro tip, it might work for you. My previous version has unlimited strapping adjustability, including cutting the strap shorter if it is too long. Amazon as usual refunded the product payment with no questions asked, which is the reason for the higher than 1 but lower than 5 star rating. I would like to add an update to my review (above) now that I have had the product for a few days. The strap with the velcro tip on the end (first photo) is actually more adjustable than I first realized. In fact, the velcro tip can be pulled off and re-positioned at a different place on the strap. In my case the velcro tip did not work positioned at the end of the very long strap, so I repositioned the velcro tip and cut off the excess length of the strap, and the strap worked much better. I should note in my defense that there are NO INSTRUCTIONS included in the packaging that mention repositioning the velcro strip and cutting off the excess strap length. I still like my "previous" version (second photo) of this product better, but the newer version is at least "workable".

I have a love volume foot and am able to tighten the straps ...
I wear a women's 9.5 and bought the W's Large size. It fit, with about 1/2 inch of room to spare at the end. Note that this has a rounded toe (which may offer a bit less protection than the squared toe that some similar shoes offer). I have a love volume foot and am able to tighten the straps (the soft inner flaps overlap a little) just fine - I even trimmed the end off because they were too long. The box I received showed a shoe with a white sole, the but I was glad to find that the shoe inside was black. I received a Darco Post-Op shoe after surgery on my big toe joint - after being miserable in it for two weeks, I bought this one. I found the heel on this one to be much more comfortable when sitting with my foot elevated. The strap placement is also different - the Darco seems to offer a bit more structure/support, as there is an ankle strap (I found it uncomfortable so was glad this one didn't have it). I prefer this one for sleeping/sitting with my foot elevated, and the other one for when I am up and about. Haven't used it for very long and I'm not able to bear weight on my foot, so I can't vouch for how well it will hold up over time or if you are walking in it.

Horribly uncomfortable
Lots of post op shoes for sale. I picked this one first off for the price, 2nd for the color of all black, and 3rd because it shipped quickly. I break a toe at least 3 times a year and my normal shoe is packed in a box. As we know broken pinky toes are extremely painful. Nothing like having to call in to work with a broken toe, losing money. So I usually wear one of these and I am able to function. I put this thing on as soon as I got to work. Took 5 steps after fumbling with the way it closes and it was horrible! It was extremely uncomfortable. It felt like I was wearing the wrong shoe on the wrong foot. When you already have a hurt foot or toe, comfort is something I was looking for. Not in this thing! So all day I hobbled in a pair of shoes limping in pain. Obviously I should have tried it before I went in. To make matters worse this item in unabled to be returned. So I'm stuck with this stupid thing. I leave for vacation in a day and don't have time to order a new one....don't chose this one. It SUCKS!

Perfect surgical shoe
Had hammertoe surgery and needed an open toe post opt surgical shoe. This shoe worked perfectly. I am a ladies 10m and ordered a men’s m/m and it is a great fit. Has enough room at the top of the shoe to fit my foot comfortably. The sizing chart that is provided, is very helpful to determine what size to order.

It kind of does the job
This shoe does not gave much grip, my husband has slipped on certain floors. The flap underneath the velcro comes a loose.

Great for swelling feet and those in wheelchairs to manage transfers.
I bought 2 of these as my husband has feet that are naturally very wide and high over the arches, with additional swelling since he's mostly wheelchair bound now. He normally wears a 12 5E width, or 13, just to get the space he needs. I got these in large and they are working great for standing, transfers and when he's in physical therapy. I did have to trim the velcro fasteners as they are extremely long and I've wrapped the upper strap with some padding as the velcro was rubbing against his foot. Other than that, they're working great and easy to put on/take off. I especially appreciate the ability to tighten the two straps separately - as he gets in/out of the car, he really has to press with one foot and these don't let his foot slip out of the shoe.

Nice cushioned shoe.
I bought this one because my old one was too small with the padding I had to wear for a heel stress fracture. I wear a size 8.5 women's dress shoe and 9 or 9.5 in hiking and running shoes to accommodate thicker socks. I bought this post-op shoe in a large and it is perfect. I still have a bit of room to spare for the toes to not stick out over the end with a small bit of wrapping on my foot. The wrapping is probably equivalent to two thick pairs of socks to give an idea of size. It isn't snug around the ankle nor too loose, which I like and even when I don't wear socks, it is still comfortable and not scratchy or rough on the inside. The entire shoe is black, which is good because so many others have a white sole. The price was excellent, too.

Useful but don't last long
Suited the purpose but did not last long...not sturdy... My husband had double foot surgery and we got these about a month ago... he uses them in the house for what little he walks... and they are showing signs of lots of wear. We just hope they last another month until he can put on shoes.
