IF you have permanently cold feet in winter, try these!!
I live in Wyoming and work outside, even in the winter. My feet, despite good boots and socks, are always cold. I decided to try these and I am so glad I did! On those cold days, and we had more than usual this year, I put on the too warmers and my feet could be warm and comfy even in snow and extrema cold. Hints: put them on top of your toes, on top of your socks. They bunch up too much under the feet and are irritating to skin. Be ready to change out. If it is a long and cold day the warmer may not last as long as you need it to last. just discard your first pair and get another pair on. Don't open the plastic wrap of each pair till you are ready to wear it, it gets hot in just a few minutes after opening.

Love these, solved Raynaud's disease symptoms
These do exactly what they claim and work great. I've been using them for years with zero issues, in fact this is my third purchase of this product. I have Raynaud's disease and my toes will turn white from the cold. When using these I've never had an issue. Some of the criticisms of this product are around the adhesive being too strong and them getting too hot. On them overheating, the instructions are pretty clear. They need to be inside an enclosed shoe and not just on socks. They react to oxygen, so a shoe will confine them and slow their exposure to air. They will stay warm for hours. In fact, if the shoe you are wearing is very snug, they might stop being warm after a few hours. You may need to briefly remove your shoe and expose the toe warmer to air for few seconds. They will quickly warm back up. Put your shoes back on or they will overheat. The adhesive strength is fine, in fact, I love that they stay put. It will have some sock lint on it when you remove it. Sort of what a lint roller would do. I wouldn't use them on fuzzy socks but I've used them on dress socks and hiking socks without issue. I've worn them 10+ hours without issue. They're not bulky but if you do miles of walking with thin socks you will notice them. I've never gotten blisters or anything like that. Use them as directed and you won't be disappointed.

Life saver for ice fishing with the kids!
These are fantastic for keeping your feet warm all day on the ice! I use a thin base layer sock then use the adhesive backing to stick these to the outside of the sock. Then I put on a thicker wool sock and they keep my feet warm all day!... They also are the difference between the kid being happy out on the ice and miserable. There's something about having warm feet that keep your entire body warm throughout the day!

BE AWARE NOT 40 PAIRS OF WARMERS
I love these toe warmers and they help keep my toes warm in temperatures above 20 degrees. I have trouble with cold toes and fingers. These help the toes and I got some rechargeable warmers for my hands, which are great. The biggest problem is that they are listed to be 40 PAIRS but it's a box of 36! It took some digging but finally got to talk to a person at Amazon and they are sending me another box of 36... So that worked out in my favor and I was pleased in the end. Overall a good product and will buy more next winter when my current supply runs out.

Great value
The number of warmers for the value is excellent. I'm pleased with the quantity.

Read how to use.
How to use. Peel off backing and put on floor. Put foot in sock and then touch tip of sock/toes to the sticky part on floor. Keep feet still until you feel the heat and they start to stick to your socks. NOW, open your shoe/boot as much as you can, tip your toes UP and quickly slide foot in to shoe/boot. now before you tie, put your foot back and tap tap tap your toe of the shoe lightly on the ground so they move more to the front of the toe. NOW, tie the shoe/boot. Trust me. This works best. These won't make your toes HOT but they will keep them from freezing. ;)

This product works well
I used my toe warmers while I was photographing 4 Hockey Tournaments. My feet stayed warm the whole time.

Not as advertised
These were adverised as HeatMax Toastie Toes with adhesive that can be stuck to your sock. When they arrived they were branded HEAT factory FOOTWARMER, did not have adhesive & are quite 'bulky' to fit underfoot and moved about in my boots. I did not have time to return them before they were needed so made do but was disappointed. Also the warmth did not seem to last as long as the Toastie Toe branded ones I have used previously.

Goods not as described
I ordered a box of "HotHands ToastieToes" toe warmers made by a company called HeatMax as depicted in the photograph on this item. When the item arrived from the USA it contained sachets of "Heat Factory footwarmers". They do not appear to be a product made by HeatMax I haven't yet tried using any of these but they are NOT what was ordered.

Much better than electric socks
At first I bought electric socks with 7.4 v batteries. These were great for about 1 month. Then they wouldn’t charge anymore. So I returned them and got this instead. I must say this is way better. You can rely on these when you go outside in -10 and do winter sports like fat biking, they will generate enough heat to keep your toes from freezing. Your toes will still feel cold in these temperatures but at least you know you can rely on this. They also last pretty long unlike the socks. Undeniably the electric socks are marginally warmer but that’s a useless feature if you can’t rely on them. Also you don’t have to worry about recharging. 40 pairs of these will be good for 2 years worth of winter sports compared to 1 month with electric socks after which they died. It’s an easy choice.

Some are hot, some are not
I found the product quite inconsistent. Also, they work best if you open them up and let them circulate with air for a half hour before applying them to your sock, or putting inside a closed shoe environment. They really need quite a lot of exposure to air before they feel hot. Some held heat for 4 hours, others about 1 hour. I would not recommend.
