PERFECT SET

These came early and were in perfect condition! All the colors are bright and are behaving exactly how I wish them to. I am not a top of the line artist, but when I compared the colors to the Prisma color set I have, you couldn't tell the difference. How they last, and if they're archival, I cannot comment on. I am using them mainly for miniatures, and coloring the furniture, food, dishes, walls, etc. that I am making. I scrape off the color and use a paint bush to "distress" or colorize whatever I'm making. They go on smoothly, smear when I want them to, and stay put when I want them to. I am very pleased with this set.

Awesome soft pastels!

Came on time and on perfect condition. I absolutely LOVE the colors and the amount that you get. This is my second box of soft pastels. My first was a little cheaper than this one but you get less, so about the same per ounce. These colors are super pigmented, very vibrant, and just what I was looking for. I make custom acrylics for nails but I'm also a novice artist. For nails, its superb. For art, it blends nicely and is true to color. Not top TOP of the line soft pastels but definitely worth buying for beginner to intermediate artists. Nail people - buy it! I thought I'd add a pic since there wasnt one to help people see what they'd be getting.

Work well

I got these for my daughter for school projects. So far, after about 4 months, they have worked wonderfully for our use! Nice colors, and none have broken. These are chalk pastels, so be aware the color does rub off without some time of fixative spray.

Love this set!

I recently got into pastels and I must say I've truly found my niche. These are the first set of chalk pastels that I've worked with since school a few years ago and I really like them. They all came unbroken in the box. There is good selection of colors. There are two blacks and two whites which I'm a huge fan of. I really like how there are multiple shades of gray and that there is a good pale/beige color to use for self-portraits. Having very pale skin, the skin color is usually way to dark and harsh and strictly white just does not work. So using the pale beige tone with some white and pink blends beautfully. Great starter kit for me. The only thing I will say about these is that some of the colors are softer than others. I prefer them soft and it's not a huge deal but it slightly alters how easily I'm able to blend it.

Great chalk!

I really love this chalk. The colors are so bright! Handle with care, they do break easily. None were broken when they arrived but my kids definitely broke a couple once we started drawing

These are wonderful pastels. Priced very well and you get great chalk with vibrant colors and amazing ease of use. They blend well and are a great value.

Thats right. Ordered this item early afternoon Sat March 13th. Received item less than 24hrs later (on the weekend) and we lost an hour (clocks ahead) due to daylight savings time. Way to go Amazon. Keep up the good work. Update; after actually using these pastels I must say they are very nice. Very soft, good overlay, and very blendable. At $24 CDN. they sell for about half of what wall mart wants and half as much as advertised on Amazon.com. I definitely recommend these to people who want a good pastel at a very cheap price. The color selection is also really good. I no longer need to purchase cheap pastels and hope for the best.
