Perfect space mom
Everything that has been said in the reviews is true the material is sparkly and sheer although is is white so just wear a nude bodysuit under and it will be just fine I knew the wig would be horrible so im just gonna through it away however I'm so glad I went with a 2xl because it's supposed to be baggy and the belt fits me perfectly im 5'6" and 219lbs im very happy and will recommend this to everyone

High quality for a cheap Halloween costume
I am usually a size L but I ordered the XL because this costume is supposed to be loose and I'd rather have to take it in than try to let it out. I am 5'7 for height reference and the gown does not reach my ankles but still seems long enough. The gown is a thick and 100% polyester. The fabric is actually slightly glittery up close, but it isn't noticeable from conversation distance. The hood is nice and big like in the movie and the sleeves are big and long without being inconvenient. The gown is slightly sheer despite being thick, so make sure you have a slip or at least skin color matching underwear. The belt has velcro fastening the back, it fits me well but I am very hourglass. The XL belt is 33" around when fully closed, because of the length of the velcro strip you could have it tighter or looser. The wig looks great but was too small for my head. My head is 23" around and I have long thick hair, so this may not be a problem for most people. The side buns on the wig are fairly small, nowhere near as big as in the movie.Each bun is 3.5 inches across. Out of the package the costume smells strongly of formaldehyde, so I would recommend a gentle wash on cold for the dress and a line airing out for all of it. This is a nice option for a Princess Leia's A New Hope costume if you don't want to have to make it from a pattern. For reference I am not wearing the wig in the photo of me in the costume. Since my hair is long and dark brown I will make my own cinnamon roll hair buns. The gun in the picture is a nerf gun I modded and does not come with the costume.

VERY nice for the price, just be aware it is thin and a tad sparkly.
So, be warned, the material is THIN, so make sure to wear something underneath it, even wearing skin-tone or white undergarments won't cut it ( I tried the lighter undergarments before I made use of a tight, thicker white dress under it, and you could't really tell it was there other than the fact that you could't see my undergarments through it anymore). The whole thing is also, strangely, sparkly. Like it has a small glitter throughout that makes it shimmer. I also ordered mine a size large, because I really wanted that extra gathered fabric look like in the movie, and I am so happy I did because I JUST got that look, otherwise it might of been a bit too tight (to be fair, I am pretty well endowed, so they got in the way a bit). I honestly instantly threw out the hair buns without giving them much of a look, but that is because I have lots of hair, and had purchased this with the intention of doing my own hair into Leia buns. NOW, the reason this gets 5 stars is because when I wore this to a comic con I got SO MANY compliments, many of them saying I was the "best Leia they have seen", by both both other con-goers and staff of the event alike. For the price, i was VERY happy with this costume. Just keep in mind that boots are not included and you will need to find/purchase something for that aspect of Leia's look. (I bought some high-top white converse-ish shoes, which I also bought through Amazon, to go under the dress. not entirely accurate, but no one noticed, and I put all my fandom pins on them to add a personal flair)

For the price it’s okay
So the gown itself is okay quality, it is sheer so I bought a one piece nude to go underneath. The belt is cheap, at any moment those gray pieces will fall off. Glues terribly together. The wig fits, the right bun is perfectly done, but left one is so wonky! It is wrapped 3 or four times and sticks out really funnily, so I’m gonna have to purchase a separate wig altogether which kinda sucks. If I keep the costume, debating on returning it honestly

Daughters Halloween costume
Like the dress and the veil fits perfectly. The belts didn’t always want to stay attacked but could be my daughter’s issue. Looks like the real authentic outfit. Now the wig fit her head well and didn’t slip but the side buns looked nothing like the movie but for the price not complaining. My truly only complaint is no boots or white slip overs. So had to go out and buy a pair of white boots. With veil I’d rather have boots then wig. Either way my daughter gave it to thumbs way up. So consider this dad pleased. Plus she’s 13 so sometimes hard to please and shes a small and it fit her well. So fits as advertised.

Great dress, not-so-great belt, horrid wig
Sizing: I'm 5'8". Based on other reviews, I thought I might need a size Large for the dress to be long enough. However, the Large was sewn badly, with the sleeves obviously different lengths. I tried the Medium instead. It was sewn perfectly and was actually longer than the Large. It fell to my lower ankles/tops of the feet. Positives: Compared to Rubie's older version of this costume, the hood on this version is much improved - much closer to the screen version. That really sells this version. The side slits are slightly smaller, and the sleeve openings have slightly more drape. Neutral: The material has a slight silver shimmer to it. It's thin, so plan to have a neutral-colored slip or other body wear you can wear under it. Negatives: The belt isn't great. The rubber version in Rubie's older version looked more legit. Also, as all the other reviewers have noted, the wig is embarrassing. Since the hairstyle is what makes or breaks this costume, it's a shame that Rubie's didn't put more effort into it. It has thin spots, and the buns are barely twisted pieces of hair lazily held together with a rubberband. On mine, they weren't even in a bun shape. Overall verdict: The dress is a great base for a Princess Leia cosplay, but plan to buy your belt and wig separately.

Quite sheer and wig is too small
This costume is very nice but there are two slight problems: it is quite sheer, especially in the light. Be sure to wear white underneath. Also the included wig is far too small. Plan on bobby pinning it to your head and pulling up the hood if you don’t intend to buy a better wig separately.

Great costume, wig too small.
The quality of this costume is great as long as you hang and de-wrinkle before the intended use. I've worn it a couple of times now! The wig however, was way too small. It's for a child. I still have it hanging around, my friends and family will try it on but it never fits. Luckily I did my own 'Leia buns' and I think it worked out much better than a wig.

Looks great!
This is worth the money for sure!!! The fabric is soft and has a faint shimmer to it, which doesn't look tacky in the slightest. The outfit looks almost exactly like Leia's in a New Hope. The hood looks fantastic as well, and the belt looks great and the velcro on the neck and the belt is pretty handy. I only have a few complaints. One, the dress/robe is a little short? I'm 5'6'' and ordered a Large so it would look more loose, which it did, but it only hit my ankles when it should be a little longer. Another complaint I have is with the wig. It fit my head decently enough, but there were chunks of short hair and the buns looked nothing like Leia's. It's also glued in place so don't do what I did and try to take them out. The wig... well it looks awful now, but that's my fault. I'm going to try and salvage it though lol. Would definitely recommend this product for a convention or any other occasion though! I'd also recommend going a size up from your regular clothing size (i.e. I'm a medium 10-12 so I went for a large which is 14-16).

Low quality, too small wig
For that money I expected much higher quality.. and Im totally disappointed. Size Large is to small for UK14-16 (not enough extra room), it is too short for 172cm height person, the wig is really small and the stitches are bad quality. It is no worth more than typical cheep fancy dress.

Cheap material and a half a belt.
The material of the robe is a see- through jersey material, instead of a linen or something more durable. The belt only fits half my waist even though the robe fits well. I had an old one in a much smaller size and yet that belt fits me. The hood is surprisingly good.

Great Costume! Would highly recommend.
Really gorgeous costume!! I ordered a size medium so that it was nice and baggy. The belt was a bit large but manageable. Overall would recommend this costume. This is my second time dressing as Leia and I’d day this costume was hands down better then the previous store bought costume of the same price. As a few others mentioned it is slightly see through. I just wore a sports bra and volleyball shorts under and I was just fine. One thing I do want to point out is that the wig is very low quality - the wig in my photo is not what this costume comes with. :)
