I’ve been using this product for about a week, the one thing I don’t like is the fact that it just sits on top of the can. I was hoping it would click on somehow since we have dogs that like to go through trash. When I first received this product, one flap refused to lift back up. It just hung there constantly, so I read some reviews to see if this is a common issue and I found one that explained this happening. He explained how to fix it in his review and after fixing mine (weight bar fell out) it has worked great ever since. I hope they make a lid that snaps on the can in the future but otherwise I love it.

Nice add on for Slim Jim

Bought the Slim Jim trash can for our new office. Decided I wanted the lid for it. It is very sturdy. But it does get stuck in the open position occasionally. It is a decent add on to go with the appropriate base. I kinda wish it was the same material as the Rubbermaid trash can. Unsteady it is hard plastic. It is a bit pricey. Together you are looking between $60 and $70 for the can and lid. (When I bought them.)

Stupid cost! But I guess “worth” it

I got the trash can so of course I got the lid for it.....I think that 1 it’s insane and so dumb to sell it separately! And 2. The price is horrible!!! ($30 for the lid $40 for a trash can) that doesn’t even make sense!! How does a lid cost almost just as much as the trash can itself?!?! Anyway I was desperate for a new trash can so I took the loss and bought it from amazon!(don’t need to go out in this mess anyway ????) the only thing that annoys me is that sometimes the flaps get stuck on trash or the trash bag inside and it doesn’t close all the way. Other than that this trash can is great

Recommend for indoors

The top is 2 swinging doors that push your trash down. I cannot use in my patio, because I’m afraid a raccoon or small animal will fall in and get trapped. Great can and kid for tight indoor spaces.

Great product if living with civilize people

My two neighbors have 1 each and one of them had lasted 6 years and still going strong the other neighbor had it for 3 years. Me on the other hand live with animals one is 43 and the other is 12 and in less than 3 months one door stays down.
