My new main! Top tier shape, weight, features and materials. Inconsisten M1 and M2
UPDATE 4/26/2021: So this is a bit of a saga. I got so frustrated with M1 and M2 buttons and their weird feel, I returned my open box Burst Pro. About a week later I was at Microcenter and they had a Burst Pro on display. I picked it up on a whim and clicked the buttons. I noticed that the right click on the display mouse was light and crisp, almost like a Razer Viper, but slightly more hollow. The left click felt like I originally described; stiff, hollow, and dull. So that got me thinking, maybe they revised the clicks on later models? I still didn't want to pay full price though for something that seemed like I was going to be potentially disappointing. So I ordered a second open box Burst Pro from Amazon for $30. This one was listed as 'acceptable', but it was like new, just the box was beat up. In any case, I think I got lucky. The M1 and M2 on the second open box mouse were worlds better than the first mouse. They felt like the right click on the display version of the Burst Pro at Microcenter. So this leaves me with some questions. Are these mice really inconsistent during production to the point that M1 and M2 can be so vastly different from mouse to mouse? Or is this a revised version? I don't know. I know that the Viper went through some updates over time to improve their main clicks. Roccat could be doing the same thing, or they could just have really poor QC during manufacturing. Considering how solid the rest of the mouse is, I have a hard time believing it is a QC issue. In any case, this is my new main. The issue I had with it is resolved on this copy, and I love it. I went ahead and bumped it up to 5 stars. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This review is almost painful to type out. I want to love this mouse so bad. It could easily be my main, but it's let down by the mouse 1 and 2 buttons. Let me get to the good parts first. Pros: -Lightweight, this is huge! It's a midsize mouse, but it's soooo light -Great shape, it seems pretty safe for most grips. I fingertip most of the time, and it works great that way. My handsize is 19 cm x 10.8 cm. It's very comfy for longer play sessions. -Great cable! It's not a paracord, but it works really well. I don't feel the need for a bungee. -Good side buttons. Very snappy and responsive. They are also easy to hit. One of my main complaints with the Viper and Model O are the side buttons being either too recessed or too far forward. The Burst Pro gets it right. -Good materials. This is a sturdy mouse, despite its weight. Also, the materials feel really good, even when you get a little sweaty. -Amazing skates !!! This things slides around so good. You will not need to upgrade skates on this mouse at all. It also comes with a spare set in case you wear yours out or have to take off the originals for some reason. -Good scroll wheel. The scroll feel is slightly inconsistent, but its pretty good. Clicking is great. Cons: -M1 and M2 buttons. This is about the only thing wrong with this mouse, but its egregious. The buttons lack feedback, take a lot of pressure to depress, and feel hollow somehow. It is nice that they are optical so they will never double click. And they do not have any pre/post travel, which is great too. But they feel bad to press. This mouse needs a revision with new M1 and M2s, closer to the new Razer opticals at a minimum. -Not available in wireless. This mouse begs to be wireless. It's so good, and wireless would make it even better. If they could maintain the same weight, so much the better. I picked this mouse up for about $30 open-box, so I am not complaining too much. It just sucks that the M1 and M2 are so bad. It ruins an otherwise great mouse. Hopefully we see a Burst Pro V2 or a Burst Pro Wireless in the future with better clicks.

Great solid rechargeable mouse
This mouse is really fun and it works great. Adjustable settings give the ability for real precision. I use this mouse for graphics and precise mapping, not the usual gaming. The mouse glows in great colors or you can turn them off. The charge lasts a long, long time. Customer support is awesome. It’s a but quirky to set up, but once you do, it really rocks!! I’m hoping it will last a really long time.

pretty cool!
pretty good overall, tho i do have one complaint, i had seen everywhere this mouse can drag click. it can't. it does not have the capability to drag click, even after turning down the debounce time

Attractive mouse
The mouse looks as depicted being very attractive. The RGB can get very bright and vibrant. Software is needed to customize the RGB but it’s fairly intuitive. The mouse feels very responsive and usable for gaming through the 2.4 connected though I would still recommend wired for gaming. It is made out of a cheaper acrylic plastic which I’m not a fan of but In order to get the RGB effect this is what I was expecting and is a good tradeoff. The battery life is pretty short with the RGB on but can hold for around 20 hrs without the RGB on. Overall I like the mouse and everything advertised has been exceeded.

So close to being the new main.
This mouse was one of my many attempts at finding a new main mouse. Current main: Steelseries Aerox 3 2022 Snow. The good: Materials and build quality are excellent. The frosted sections give great grip without being over bearing. The hex pattern on the side is just enough to be noticeable and give grip but not annoying. Side buttons are excellent. Great placement, great size, great feedback. Scroll wheel has great tactility when scrolling. Factory feet are great, mouse also has dongle storage. The shape: if you need an ambi mouse that does not have an ingress in the side (razer viper, model O for example) this is it. Thick enough to anchor to, but not so wide as to be uncomfortable. I use a relaxed claw grip, fits perfectly. Mehs: The scroll wheel is a bit firm on the depress for my taste. The side hex pattern could be slippery for some. The dpi button looks out of place but functions greatly as a dpi button. If used as another toggle it would be hard to use. Software: decent ish, not hard to understand once nuances are over come. Huge plus that the mouse can have information saved to it and the software does not need to be constantly running using valuable ram. Latency: I do not have the tools to check this. The mouse is so new tech tubers have not really done this either, could be a sticking point for some, most likely not noticeable for general public. The bad: Battery life for me seems to be unpredictable. I used the mouse for a little over a week and a half. I sent the RGB to 25%, mouse auto off at 3 minutes. Mouse was dead over night from day 5 into day 6. Charged the mouse for 15 minutes, software says the mouse is at 100% battery life. I cannot find any lwebsite or promotional material that verifies fast charging. IF fast charging is equipped then this point is mute, if not, then battery measuring for me is unpredictable. The battery life seemed on par with my Model O and D wireless during sleep, which is not good in comparison to my katana superlight, and the likes of Logitech's offerings. *Personal opinion* Weight. No, 81 grams is not heavy. However for me having used my aerox for so long at 68 grams and my katana superlight at 60, I feel the additional weight and consistently see my aim over traveling. Fixable with time, but the shape being so close to the Aerox for me makes that a hard pass. My one true gripe: the switches. I have not found an optical switch that I like. Razer has been getting closer with their v2s, but these just seem dull. Pre and post travel are great, but feed back is lacking. TLDR: This is a fantastic mouse. If someone is upgrading from a heavier mouse, my weight point is mute. If I had discovered this before my Aerox, and not had most of my personal biases, this would be my new main mouse. If you do not need the tactility of a higher end mechanic switch in a mouse and prefer an ambi shape with a large hump for you palm, I don't think you can go wrong here. If you're using something already lighter than 81 grams such as the aerox, I feel you could skip this unless this shape is absolutely what you're needing.

Great
This Roccatt mouse is amazing. Feels great in hand. Lightweight but very solid body. Mouse clicks and scroll wheel are perfect. Side buttons are big and tactile. The mouse glide and tracking is smooth. A nice bonus that I really appreciate is the inclusion of extra mouse feet glides in case you should ever need to replace them. RGB illumination is bright and vibrant. There are two zones for lighting, you get one zone for scroll wheel and one for the body. The lights on body have a nice fade in the meterial so the light fades into main click buttons. Lightweight without having actual holes cut out in the body. Making it easier to clean while being lighter than most of the ones that have holes in the body. I would recommend this mouse to anyone. Mouse shape and feel is subjective though. I hope they release a wireless version of this exact mouse.

well built, comfortable, pretty
My hand is 16.5cmx9cm, depending on what I'm doing (gaming, surfing, work, etc) I'll switch up my grip between a palm, a very relaxed claw, or a fingertip grip. I'm able to do all 3 with this mouse. This is an almost perfect mouse. The buttons feel tactile and are satisfying to press, the switches are great. I've seen people complain about the click, describing it as "mushy" and idk what on earth those folks are on about. They feel nice and crisp to me. On-board memory works flawlessly which means you can terminate the Swarm software once you've configured stuff and it will persist in a plug-and-play fashion, locally stored in the mouse. There is no rubberized coating or padding which is a plus for me as it lasts longer this way and is easier to clean without ruining the material, though if you have sweaty hands perhaps that isn't a great thing. I find that the slight texturing on the plastic itself is good enough to give me a grip. Scroll wheel is easy to press and precise, unlike my Steelseries Rival 300 which would trigger the scroll function while trying to press m3 about 2/3 of the time. Whether it will loosen over time and give me a similar result remains to be seen but I'm guessing not since I haven't seen anybody complain about that in any forums with the Roccat wheel. The placement of the side buttons could be a bit closer to the front end of the mouse, as I find them a little cumbersome to press with my thumb when I palm grip but not a huge deal. LEDs are nice and vibrant, nothing much to say as I'm not opinionated on gamer aesthetics. I turn the LEDs off half the time tbh.

Feels cheap
First of all, I wanted a nice mice to play my favorite game on my Mac (Final Fantasy Online), because I had a hard time with the MagicMouse. Unfortunately, the app is totally incompatible with MacOS. That was not too much of a problem because the mice works anyway without it, but you can't personalize it. Compared to other gaming mices I owned, this one felt very cheap for the price. Extremely lightweight, plastic seems thin and fragile, the mice in itself is kind of big in my hand, and makes the overall experience a bit uncomfortable. Also, it's not super smooth. I had 30-40$ mices from Best Buy a lot more nicer than this one. I played with it for 2 days and decided I had enough and returned it. It is not total garbage, I just think it's not worth it and suggest you to go with another company or model.
