Overall great clock!
The clock is large and magnetic which is perfect for the classroom. I struggled with the minute hand running into/getting stuck on the hour hand. If you go slow and slightly lift the minute hand when you pass the hour hand it works better.

Great Classroom Tool
My husband had me buy this for his high school special ed class. He's been very pleased with it and its ease of use in helping his students understand how to tell time.

Great tool for the classroom!
As an early elementary teacher, I know how difficult it can be for younger students (and some older students as well) to grasp the skill for telling time. They can tell time when looking at the "how to" we write together but have difficulty remembering it on their own. What hand goes with what number, etc. The reason I love this clock is because of the different color of the hands. It may sound silly, but the short hand 'red' goes to the red numbers and you can write the blue numbers (5,10, 15...) for the minute hand (beyond the hour numbers) and those hands will color coordinate making it easier for children to tell time. I did see another reviewer write that they did not like that the hands only go in one direction (like a real clock would). I look at that as an asset. Students are able to see that one revolution of the blue minute hand points the red hand to a new hour. If you want to quiz students quickly, you could use flash cards, little Judy Clocks or homemade clocks with plates and paper brads. I think this is an excellent teaching tool and I highly recommend it for any teacher who is teaching students how to tell time.

It's good but could be more convenient
I love how easy it is to "build a clock" with this. It helped my kindergarten recognize how a clock should look. The one thing that I complain about is that the magnetic hands aren't strong enough to turn and stay attached to the board. I have to take them down or awkwardly hold the base while turning them. Also, I wish the hands could move independently from each other because having to turn the minute hand all the way around the clock just to move the hour hand one hour is pretty inconvenient, especially for younger ages when you are really only teaching about hours.

Needs better magnet
Like everyone else, the middle piece with the hands has to be held while turning it. I haven't found anything yet that will keep it in place.

Nice educational clock. Great price.
It’s wonderful for the whiteboard, except the center part slides down. When I placed a paper towel between the clock’s center and the board it fixed it from sliding. My principal wondered why there was a paper towel on the board lol

Very visual to say the least. The magnetic numbers are very strong and stay in place. The dials do require a second hand (or even just a finger) to keep the dial stable while turning but not big of an issue. The dials turn like a real clock; so it isn't just a dial with arrows, but I consider that a plus. Personally I would prefer a clicking noise as the dial is turned, but that just me. I use it in a magic show and while the volunteer sets the clock it provides me time to do what I need to do for the routine.

Nice and visual and mechanically well constructed.
I love the visibility and versatility of this item but it does require a separate magnetic board (unless you use blutack). It is well constructed and the moving the minute hand moves the hour hand like a normal clock. Larger than I expected, it just about squeezes onto my 36cm wide board. Perfect for schools and my design-a-party science parties.

Un bijou
Un must pour les enseignants! La petite aiguille bouge aussi ;-)
