The clock will not stay running.
This product was perfect for what I needed. However, it will not stay running. I have changed the battery twice, but unfortunately that dies t seem to be the problem. I use it for about a half of day, it quits working, I have to take the battery out and re-install it. It's like there's a short somewhere. Very disappointed.

Gifted to a 5 yr old....
My 5 yr old buddy who is currently into numbers and math is timing everything he does with this thing! It seems to be a quality product and is not complicated to use - minimal buttons, straightforward, easy to read.

Pretty good
Just arrived and so far, so good. Love the simplicity. I had a "Sportline Go Walking" model from Sports Authority before this, and the buttons on that one were so cheap that one fell off. This one seems much sturdier so far, and much more user-friendly. Hopefully the company will see this: I am giving a 4 instead of 5 because: 1) It is way too big. I work with kids and carry a travel bag with many goodies, so I like to pack light. I didn't realize the massive size of this device when I ordered it. Much bigger than the average stopwatch. The digital font size is nice and big, but the unit itself is too over-sized. I can't fathom there being that many electronics inside it that warrant making it so big. 2) It's made in China. That's the main reason I'm not giving it a 5. "Learning Resources" brand, how about hiring American workers to make goods here in our country? And don't give me that "everything is made in China" nonsense. It's about time we reverse that trend and expect more from American companies! 3) How about giving customers a color choice? I don't care since I'm a grown up, but if it's for a kid, it's fun to have a choice! I got blue and purple by the way. Overall, good stopwatch!

Quick list: •Three buttons: clear, stop, and go. In order to clear it, you must stop it first, and that's about as complicated as it gets. •Noiseless. •Colors are random. Mine came in purple though I never selected an option. •Screen is not very bright. •Batteries easily accessible with a small screwdriver. Replaced our other stop watch with this and, so far, it is so much better than what we had. I work in a class for high risk students, and our discipline involves time outs to teach self regulation. With other stop watches, I would have difficulty actually starting or clearing the timer because I would often be in some weird mode I couldn't get out of. In addition, those watches made noise with every button press so the absence of the noise led to countless, "have you started my time yet?". Furthermore, alarms were set on it by accident so it would repeatedly go off in the middle of class. With this, there are no noises; no bells and whistles that ultimately complicate what should be very simple technology. Clear, stop, go--those are the only options included, and the only options needed for my purposes.

Works as expected

Broke in a few weeks
We used ours like 3 times and then it no longer turns on. I contacted the company and no response. Disappointed.

Simple and perfect (except you can't turn off)
My daughter who just started first grade loves this stopwatch. When she does kumon homework at her after school program, she uses this stop watch. The clock at the after school program is hard to read and she was having hard time remembering to write the start time and stop time. With this stopwatch, I now know how long it took her to finish her homework. What I like best about this stopwatch is that there are only three buttons and each button has one function (start, stop, clear), unlike some other stop watch that has one or two buttons for all (one button having more than one function/purpose). Only thing is that it doesn't turn off, it's always on, so I am not sure how long the battery would last (reason for giving four stars instead of five). One more to note: this stopwatch does not have "lap" function (which I don't need anyway). This is a perfect stopwatch for my daughter.

Simple, effective, silent
I suspect I have ADHD, and I have trouble writing down how much time i work because the clock distracts me. My child also needs me often so in an "hour" i've actually worked maybe... 20-40 minutes... This is the perfect tool to time myself. Remembers the time for 34 hours, easy to use so it's not a distraction. That and the time timer have been a HUGE help working from home.

How to turn off it?

Really simple to use
Used to time seizures. Needed to be simple so could be started quickly as previous timer often took time to reset. This is great, simple to use and does the job. A straight forward timer with no additions which was exactly what was needed.
