Good but could be better

The strap broke within a few days of biking but I don’t blame it, I carry about 10-25 pounds very ride and I ride very often. this thing lasted me the entire summer and winter after I replaced the broken strap with grocery bags which held up much better but now I think it’s the end of its days because the poor thing is slowly breaking down. The hinges come off on their own and the part welded on has come off leaving the basket hanging from the metal frame. overall a decent basket rip

Good basket - no issues!

Initially I was concerned by the amount of people who said their baskets failed upon first use but I have found it to be sturdy and reliable. For reference I have the Huffy Cranbrook cruiser and the basket attachment fits well and flush against the frame. I recommend!

Love the basket, not the strap

Love this basket! Very easy to remove the basket from the bracket to carry it around and then easily goes back into place. However, the strap it came with to secure the bracket to the bike tore within 2 weeks so I have to zip tie it instead.

Brilliant design!

The media could not be loaded. I bought this basket "used" - the price was exactly what I was looking for and its a metal basket. The screen material at the bottom took a couple dings without much effort (little flimsy) buy could be re-enforced somehow if needed. If you overload the basket with weight it does make steering a little more difficult. Something to keep in mind. The basket can only be placed into the bike and removed from the bike with the handles are folding upward locking the basket in place, I'm really impressed with the engineering of this basket!!! [Side note] basket is in the way now of my front bike light. So I'm going to look into my options are far as this goes as well, think of one of those "handle bar extensions" so I can place a bike light higher than the basket!

Please don't believe what you read...

Mine broke in a month, now it rides on the front wheel. And drags. The strap also was cheap and snapped. These are not made right. And I can't return it because I missed out by 1 day.

Buy this basket, don’t second guess yourself! It’s well worth the money!

This basket is brilliant and looks great on my bike! It is very well made and sturdy. The ‘shopping basket’ is easily detached for easy usage for use in a store, it fixes back on the bike quickly and securely. Shipping and delivery was quick and efficient.

Don’t buy

I purchased the end of April. Used maybe a handful of times. Never carried anything heavy, my purse with my wallet and a plastic water bottle. Basket came apart while I was riding my bike. Very disappointed will NEVER buy again!!

The strap broke the first day, the basket frame lasted 3 weeks

It’s all right and the basket quality is fair. Unfortunately, the strap that came with it broke the first day. It’s not hard to fix it though, just use a piece of rope instead. Also this basket leaves scratches on the bike UPD: this is a piece of garbage, it broke down in 3 weeks

Broke the second I installed it.

The bracket that holds the basket on the handlebars broke the moment I installed the basket. I returned the broken one for a replacement and the welds on the replacement were broken when I opened the box. This is a great design but VERY poorly manufactured. It just falls apart. Photos of original order and replacement included.

Fantastic unless your bike falls over

So the basket was easy to install and attach. I find some things can fly out with a big curb. Unfortunately my bike fell over one day and it ripped the little velcro piece that attaches to the bike and some of the parts bent. I was able to straighten them out but the basket now rests right against the bike. It doesn't affect its functionality and so far the velcro is holding on but it doesn't look as nice. I got mine on sale so I'm still happy with my purchase but I wouldn't pay full price.
