Solid jack with the clearance I needed
This seems to be a solid a-frame jack. The main reason I got this one is that I needed more clearance as my original utility trailer jack would not crank up enough. The jack plate I had would skid when I would go through a dip in the road....usually when pulling into a gas station or side road. This jack comes all the way up to the tongue and solves my problem. It also is higher at the top and the crank handle clears the tool box I added which my original jack handle didn't. I looked for a side winder version of this jack which I could not find, but since this is higher it solved that problem as well. Very pleased with purchase. Took 5 minutes to bolt this on and attach my old skid plate foot. The only concern I have is that I've read reviews of this unwinding as you go down the road. Not sure if that will be an issue. The crank handle moves pretty smoothly so I believe this may be possible. I'm going to use a bungee cord to keep this from happening, but it would be nice if this had some kind of lock for the crank handle.

Perfect jack for my vintage travel trailer
I have a 1970s travel trailer and this bolted right in. I did have to enlarge the bottom hole in the a-frame a little bit, like about 1/16th inch. It was very close. And I was thrilled that's all it took to get it mounted. My trailer is around 2500lb and this cranks it up and down with ease.

Good quality, extra clearance if neede, but not for me!
I have no complaints about the quality of the product, but wished they described it a bit better. This jack didn't work for me because of the short distance from the mounting bracket to the bottom of the outer tube (about 3"). The frame on my trailer is 2x3 inches and once the jack is mounted, the outer tube barely cleared the bottom support plate on my frame. This is great if you need a lot of clearance to the ground in the retracted position. My old jack was like this one and required a lot of cranking. I bought a "Flip jack (Fastway 88-00-6500, http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003CE283I) to reduce cranking, but the extra clearance of this trailer jack defeated the purpose. I ended up trading this trailer jack at a local hitch shop with another one, getting almost nothing for it. If you need extra clearance, this jack is ideal, otherwise, like in my application, a jack with a longer reach from the mounting plate to the bottom of the tube would be a better option.

Solid, Looks Good
So far so good. I needed a jack that retracted a lot leaving a smaller amount of space between the trailer frame and the foot of the jack. I had gone through 3 jacks getting bent from lack of clearance (including one that came with the trailer from the factory). This retracts way up into the frame and is good for my application. The top winders are a bit slower than flip style jacks and with one you do a ton of winding because it retracts a lot. It's a Chinese jack but I think most trailer components are Chinese at this stage so this is just a Chinese jack to go along with all of the other Chinese components. Initial quality is fine - perhaps not quite as nice a Bulldog but there's not much in it.

Good quality and lifts my 16' lawn trailer with ease
I does not have a grease fitting so to lubricate it you will have to remove it from the trailer and grease from the bottom or add a grease fitting (as I decided to do). I would rather have paid a couple of dollars more for an included greasable fitting or I would have rated it 5-stars. Good quality and lifts my 16' lawn trailer with ease. BE SURE TO MEASURE YOUR EXISTING JACK as this was a little short for my needs--my fault though for not measuring and getting the right model. I also used Grade-8 hardware rather than the included bolts.
