Good big box of nearly headless screws
These things screw in tight. There is enough head on the screw to prevent you from drilling it too deep but no so much that you split the wood. The thread will pull the boards together nice and tight. Only con is the bit that comes with it gets worn down after about 100 screws. it is a standard size so just make sure you have a few in stock.

Screws broke after 2 years
I use the screws with Trex select saddle. They’re very good screws. Looking back, I think that 2 1/2 inch would’ve been fine. The screws worked very well with the facia as well. UPDATE******* After two years, I have noticed that some of these screws are snapping just above the threads. This is primarily happening to screws holding down the ends of the boards. I have to remove the deck board, then use Vise Grips to take the broken screw out, then replace it all.

Working great on blue pine boards
These have small heads, which are working great on the boards we’re using to remodel a room with. They drive into the wood nicely and don’t show.

Looking to get screwed by a purchase?
I had a 5lb box of Deckmate Screws which went in quickly and easily, without even needing to pilot holes for a Veranda deck. However, we ran out of screws and they'd discontinued the color we needed. These looked nearly identical and we ordered 2 boxes. These screws are hot garbage. The head melts under any amount of pressure and mowed through the tip I had used to install an entire box of deckmate in about 4 screws. It ruined 5 TIPS and only managed to install about 40 (and not even all the way in). Had to throw half of them away as they stripped on the head AND didn't go all the way in. I tried piloting the holes and it didn't help. AVOID these impostors. Waste of money and time.

OK not great
Quantity for the price OK, but the screws do not create a nice finish, cause rising around the head. Thank goodness I do not need a ton for project I am doing or it would look unsightly when finished.

Envelope??
The screws look to be good quality. But the box was put into an envelope, so the box was open and half the screws were out. The envelope had a 2" hole in it. Luckily none were lost, The box and screws weighed 5.32 lbs. total. Hopefully when I re-order they will pack it better.
