Don't bother with any other puller.
If you whoopsie'd a whole batch of ammo, there's no easy way to undo it, but this comes close. Wailing on the garage floor with an impact puller is miserable. After pulling over 200 rounds, I haven't marred a single (plated!) bullet more than cosmetically, even when breaking some unreasonably tight crimps. The puller is acceptably quick when you get into a rhythm. Incomparably more durable than the red brand's product. I'd give it 6 stars if I could.

WOW If you use the hammer, throw it away this is wayyy better.
I can break ammo down so fast that all worries are gone. If you make a mistake you don't have to smash the ground like an angry gorilla to get your ammo apart. This thing is so simple, simply instead the die with collet into your press and POP! The bullet will come out of the case almost without effort. I can't speak highly enough of this product. Thank you RCBS!

Takes the fear out of working up loads
I absolutely love reloading . One of my favorite thing about reloading is working up "pet" loads that shoot better, (at least I like to think they shoot better), than anything else I can get. The biggest problem I have with my work-up process is that I inevitably end up with left over ammo. Stuff that didn't cycle the action reliably or showed obvious signs of over pressure or that wasn't as good as I initially thought. I would shoot up some of this sketchy stuff and use kinetic pullers, (one of the classic, plastic hammer jobs and/or a wall mounted, spring actuated, somewhat scary unit), to tear down the rest. This took a lot of the fun out of working up loads. All those problems are behind me, now that I have my RCBS collet bullet puller. Set up was quick and simple with the instructions provided and operation was easier and MUCH faster than I would have ever believed. I've used it to pull a couple hundred bullets already. 20 Practical, 6mmX45, and 223 Remington from my load work up and a good sized box of 380 auto and 9x18 from a friend of mine who had mangled them in a Dillon progressive press. All the rifle rounds had been crimped using a Lee factory crimp die but the projectiles came out slicker than snot. The only marks on them were those made by the crimp die. I'll be able to reuse all the components. The pistol rounds were a bit more of a challenge due to the damage inflicted by the poorly adjusted press. I had to clamp the collet harder onto them and a few slipped out on the first attempt but I got them all pulled. All I could salvage from these were the primers and the powder but none of the damage to the casings and the projectiles was caused by the collet puller. I no longer worry about making 5 or 10 extra rounds at each step because it's now so easy to tear down whatever I don't like and reuse all the components. I highly recommend this puller; it's taken the fear out of working up loads.

Super simple and easy
I had like 400 .380's that I built. Sold my Walther and decided to reclaim the components of the .380 cartridges. Bought this puller and the collet for .380/38/9mm/.357 and went to work. What a breeze this made the task of reclaiming the components, for straight walled .380 anyway. I know cannelure bullets with a bit of a crimp might be another story but I don't really think that will be a problem. I'm a gonna throw out my inertia/impact hammer.

Qorks perfect. Quality made.
Was considering this or the hornady puller. Im glad i chose rcbs. The collets for this puller are not going to break on you and they just simply work every time. Pulls jacketed projectiles flawlessly and does well with plated projectiles, although depending on your crimp, it may leave a slight pull mark.

Super easy to use.
Beats the heck out of that dumb plastic hammer puller I've used before. Makes the process much faster and is not messy. Unfortunately you need to buy a collet for every caliber you need to pull, but it is absolutely worth it. Wish I bought it sooner. Highly recommend.

Must have for reloaders
This puller is great and a must have for reloaders. I used the old impact style puller for a long time (too long). I wish i would have had this one when i started loading and testing my reloads. 100% must have. RCBS quality and easy to use. SOLID BUY

Does the job very well in a single-stage press
I had pulled bullets previously with a Franklin Arsenal hammer type inertial puller. That's cheap, and flexible, as it will also work for unjacketed lead. But it's quite a pain to use. I had a significant quantity of 7.62 NATO ammo to break down, and for that I bought this die, and a 30 caliber collet to use with the die. It worked very well, and allowed me to break down 100 rounds or so with minimum effort. I did try it on my main turret press first, and that didn't work well, as you have to rotate the handle to grip and release the bullet in the collet, and that rotation, on a turret press, will keep moving the turret. So I switched to a single-stage press, and the process went very smoothly there. You could easily break down many rounds with jacketed bullets using this die, and have brass and bullets ready to re-use.

Works ok on regular bullets but not with surplus with lacquer type sealer.
This thing works. BUT by design, when you want to tighten up the bullet, the whole thing spins and gets tighter in the press. To tighten it without getting tighter in the press, I have to grab a pair of pliers to hold the whole thing from spinning and getting tighter. I tried to separate a 7.62x39 bullet and the bullet is somewhat glued or something and I had it so tight that when removing the puller from the press, I damaged my insert (lee press) in the process. And yet, I was not able to separate that bullet. Not enough grip. On the other hand, I used it on different bullets like 7.62x54R surplus and my own 8mm reloads without any problems. (with appropriate size collet of course) Bottom line, it works somewhat but there is better system out there.

Works great!
I installed it in my Dillon press, it takes some effort to adjust properly, but it makes pulling bullets easy and effortless. I leave the die in place, and remove the collet when reloading, and replace the collet and handle when needed...easy peasy. I pulled 50 bullets in a few minutes, without any noisy hammering!

works perfectly
I used it in my single stage Lee press to pull out 147 ELD-M bullets from a batch of 6.5 Creedmoor ammo. It worked perfectly, bullets are not damaged and will be re-used. Easy to set up and operate.
