Overpriced but functional
I only like this mouse because of the shape. The Razer lancehead mice are the most comfortable for me which is why I get them despite the fact that I think they're overpriced. If you're looking for a symmetrical and comfortable mouse, you might like this one.

good mouse with one flaw
the best mouse I've ever had and also the one software works perfectly but every time I set up the wireless mode after i power on my pc the clicks don't work so I cant even press anything not even to turn off the pc and the wireless mode does work perfect for other mouse's so I know its this mouse and not my pc so I have to set up the wireless mode before I turn on my pc witch isn't a big deal for me but is still a problem.

Likes to flash its lights
Ignores user lighting settings on computer going to sleep or starting. Installs 6 (that's SIX) windows services so you can enjoy the lighting that you did not ask for. Pros: excellent flexible USB cable. Software is so complicated, that you forget it is just for a mouse. Can we make this thing so much harder to use? All I wanted it to do is keep the static low lighting that I set up, but it has a mind of its own regarding its lighting.

This is a right-handed mouse.
As a left handed gamer I have used Razer for years, not that I had much choice but I have very fond memories of my Taipan and got on with the left-handed Deathadder: this is dishonestly marketed as an ambidextrous mouse. THIS IS A RIGHT HANDED MOUSE. Being less a right-hand mouse than the standard deathadder doesn't alter the fact that the side pads are totally wrong if you play southpaw; one hour of use and I'm getting cramps in my little finger , there is just no way to use this comfortably. This isn't a personal issue, you turn a Taipan upside down you can draw a line down the centre of it and find a perfect mirror image of the other side of the mouse. That is because an ambidextrous mouse is the same on both sides, that's what ambidextrous is, this is significantly different left to right because it is obviously, really very very obviously a right-handed mouse

A let down
I was so disappointed on Razer website lancehead it supposed to be for smaller hands. However the scroll wheel is so small and so high up the mouse that it is further away than on the basilisk. Also the sides kick out quite a bit making it uncomfortable. Sigh. I am really struggling to find a mouse to suit my hand. The basilisk sits a little too high for my liking so was hoping the lancehead would be better but I underestimated just how much smaller the scroll wheel is and how much further away. Not useful for function intended at all. I hope that Razer do a smaller version that is not so long and with a bigger scroll wheel and keep it ambidextrous. Another thing to add is that the Razer 3 Synpase software is atrocious. How can you sell a product where the software to control the rgb lighting is still in beta? The software constantly fails meaning you can only get spectrum cycling.

Dissapointed
I don't really like this mouse. I have it for 6 months and I prefer to have some different one. It costed 100 euro or so and I was more excited of using wired mouse of some unknown company. Nicer button click, shape, look, colour, even quality feels stronger and more stable. It's an optical one so it didn't work on all surfaces as I wanted to but heck. Razer is so expensive and brings such low quality. It seems that u spend 50% for their advertising and 30% is spend on quality of a product. Mouse feel light, low quality with battery that lasts 2 days or 20 hours(without any RGB lighting). It works on quite every surface but controlling character or moving a camera in games doesn't feel as smooth somehow. To me this mouse costs maybe 2 euro to produce and it's worth 20 euro on market but they sell it for 127 euro now! Madness. Razer is a crappy company. Didn't get their first product and I am dissapointed with the other one as well. I got burnt by number of asian companies. I started disliking them.

Disappointing.
Bought because I needed an ambidextrous mouse for RSI reasons and this topped the reviews. It works and it's ambidextrous so mission accomplished, but it's a disappointing intro to what the Razer marketing people are desperately keen to convince us is the "cult of Razer". - It feels cheap. It's lightweight and tacky. Clicks are shallow and springy. - The battery life is crap. I have AA-powered mice that have been running for years. This thing barely lasts a week. - The charging cable is obscene. It has a standard micro-USB port but fairing around it means only the provided cable can ever fit. This is simply anti consumer. As an ambi mouse I will say it succeeds, and while the plastic feels crummy the rubberised flanks are very nice. But for this price I would expect a premium experience. The Logitech M705 that this replaces is half the price but exponentially more pleasant to use (assuming you are right-handed). It does all the RGB colour bollox of course, if you're into that. If you're just looking for a quality ambi mouse keep up the search. You can do better.

Not the best of razer, actually disappointed.
Only two stars just because I didn't like it. I've never experienced issues regarding the performance or build quality, but the two buttons on the right side were the biggest mistake that razed had ever done. You think you'll get six buttons in total just like what I did, but in fact you get only 4 actual buttons, because the two buttons on the right side are the same one from the left side and they will function just the same. For me, I ended up disabling them as I always press them by mistake, which is really really annoying and not functional. Moreover, the shape of the buttons is small and linear, which causing difficulty in finding or pressing the buttons. Not well-designed buttons and would recommend getting deathadded instead.
