what can i say, the price is lowest of all. cables. seems thick and reliable. not as smooth going in, or cutting off extra length as standard brands. but just fine for long term storage. the velcro ones are better for cables that continually get used, but for transport and storage, these are fine.

Do the job as intended​. They are quite thick and I can not see them breaking no matter how hard you would pull them. I used them to seal some items I intended to store and they locked in place nicely.

Tough nylon single-use eight inch cable ties from the QualGear brand
These QualGear self-locking cable ties are made from tough 6/6 nylon material and the zip lock mechanism is designed for permanent single use only – you need to cut the tie should you need to remove it in the future. Each tie measures 4.8mm by 200mm (about 8 inches) and are suitable for securing and tidying a range of electrical, Hi-Fi, comms and computer cables – plus various other cable types or even different sorts of items too. The ties can be joined together if required to increase the overall length – but personally I would use the correct length of tie for the job. These ties from QualGear are durable standard white nylon cable ties, with a tensile strength of 90 lbs, and offer a tough permanent solution when installing cabling in various locations. The ties are supplied in a fully-sealed clear polythene pack of 100 – a resealable pack would have been useful, but you can just cut a corner to remove one or two at a time. The QualGear brand has a good range of other types of cable ties available from Amazon and a useful comparison chart is provided on the product page to illustrate some of their other products. This CT4-W-100-P version is a good all-rounder for home or professional jobs and makes a useful addition to anyone's DIY box.

Strong, Easy to Use and Durable.
These QualGear eHotCafe CT4-W-100-P 8-Inch Self-Locking Cable Ties are good cables. I don't need to regurgitate all the specs and cut and paste. All you need to know is that they are excellent and do the job you want. Almost 8 inches long in old money they are tough and strong. Great for securing Garden lights and trellis- brilliant for Christmas lights and decorations. They lock really easily and can be joined if you are just that bit short but I agree with a fellow reviewer that if you want a longer length always better to get longer ones. At the time of writing, there is no price posted. I would not pay over a tenner for them and would expect the price to be well below that. Recommended.

QualGear 200mm Cable Ties
How did we manage in the days before cable ties? I'll tell you, by using a hotch-potch of plant ties, insulating tape, rubber bands and anything else that you has laying about that could roughly do the job. Although originally designed and introduced for the electrical industry these jacks-of-all-trades soon found their way into my toolbox and were pressed into service for anything that needed binding together. This offering from QualGear comprises a pack of 100 white ties each 4.8mm x 200mm long. The ties are releasable making them multi-use. The length makes them even more usable and , of course, you can trim them down once fitted if they are a little long. Indispensable.

Essential household items
These are really thick strong ties, 200 mm long and 4.8 mm wide. Although for single use only, these ziplock ties are incredibly tough and resilient. They last for years, inside or out. The uses you can think of seem to have no end. I use them as plant ties in the garden and also for securing bundles of cables to avoid reduce trip hazard. As far as the garden is concerned, I sometimes need to secure climbing plants to our various garden structures in heavy wood. For this I use two or even three ties linked together. Once in place they have to be removed by cutting, when the need arised.

Well constructed
These cable ties aren't listed as yet on the QualGear web site so Amazon are the source of information. These are similar to the cable ties that I would expect to see holding between one to three cables on cable tray and, the finish wouldn't cut into cable sheath. They are self-locking and hold when pressure is applied. They are single use as the locking tongue that cannot be lifted to release them. It would be nice to know whether they are UV stabilised for use outdoors. Back in the day when I was an electrical consulting engineer I wouldn't object to a contractor using these specific cable ties.
