This was great for my deep tank.

Pro: it is long. Not just the tube that connects to the hose, but the plastic shaft. It's hard and you can push it deep into your gravel. It WILL suck up the gravel if you don't lift it up and allow it to fall. If it does keep rising you can just pinch the connector tube and it lessens the suction. Con: nothing really. Just know you'll need to suck really hard on your hose to draw the water up and out to cause the siphon OR buy an attachment that does it for you. It's what I'm doing for my next change. I loved this unit. I bought others that said XXL, or super long for a lesser price. What was "super" long was the flexible drain tube to the hose. Just make sure when your comparing siphons.

Works great

It was great. I could not find one to access the bottom of my 150 gallon tank. Works perfectly.

Nice Long Syphon 36” version

The 36” version is great. Easily clean the sand on the bottom of a 2foot tall tank without having to keep your arm in deep or using a step stool/chair. Side note, the python doesn't clean as well as I like and wastes lots of water when hooked to the faucet. I just use this syphon tube attached to a hose.... let gravity take it to the drain or garden.

Long enough

My tank is 31 inches tall, my hands will not be getting wet any more. Because it's 36 inches I can completely clean my sand bed with out loosing any sand.

No, no, no

This is the worst Python accessory I’ve ever seen or used. Way too big to fit in a normal aquarium and just too awkward to perform any of the functions that I would normally do

I hate cleaning my fish aquarium

I hate cleaning my fish aquarium. I purchased this, and it has made the job a whole lot easier. I actually just ran the hose to a garden hose out my back patio door to make the connection since my faucets would not work. It was easy. However, from a past experience from long ago, make sure you run or have been using your garden hose. Sometimes spiders will hang out in there and you want to make sure you are pulling water from the city lines.

Very long, good for deep aquariums.

Makes cleaning my 360g mucn easier!

If you have any version of this, you already know how it works. If you don't, then, this may be a lifesaver for you! I have a 360g, with this, and the 100' hose, and it makes tank cleaning a breeze. It's pretty standard, it does take two people to operate (although this might not be so with the shorter version of the hose), but, there is no more lugging 5 gallon buckets from upstairs, or through the house. No more salt water everywhere. So far, this has worked like a dream.

Does the job

It gets to the bottom of my 3 ft deep tank nicely but find the hose kinks at the top sometimes stopping the flow . A necessary device for deep tanks
