Durable
I have had the 50 gallon tub for 5 years now and it still looks like new even though I keep it outside. I bought it for a small dog pool and my golden retriever loves it.

Ice bath
I am 6'4", 220lbs, and the 150 gallon tub is almost TOO big for ice baths. So if that's what you're getting them for, 100gal is plenty big enough. I could fit two of me in here ???? high quality and sturdy, well worth the price

Functions well but has a design flaw II.
To piggy back off Larry R on 9/7/21, there is a problem with the water hose adapter among a couple other things. I own a 23 stall horse boarding farm with 5 pastures. Each one has this automatic waterer and every one has the same problem. You cannot tighten down the (plastic) water hose adapter tight enough to prevent leaks. Bored horses pull and chew on things and I have had them actually snap the female spinning water hose coupling off the adapter. I've had them pull the entire adapter out of the tenuous connection and strip the female threads on the valve body. You have to put about 13' of teflon tape on the adapter from the get-go to prevent it from leaking. I'd like to see it designed so that the water hose enters from below somehow so the horses can't get their mouths on it. My photo shows what I hope will be a more secure fitting that points somewhat down to discourage mouthing it. The mounting plate prevents a true straight down mount but this should be better than the OEM. Also, don't use the provided nuts and bolts. Just get some 1" metal to wood roofing screws. and screw it down.

When water gets very cold the rubber in the inlet gets so hard it stops shutting off.
The product works well until the temperature nears 32 degrees. Then the rubber stopper gets too firm and allows water to flow continuously.

Perfect fish pond.
Had my favorite gold fish in a twenty gallon glass fish tank and within a year he grew so large that I decided to put him in this 100 gallon tank to provide him with a much needed larger area to live in comfortably. I put in four recirculating air pumps and filters to keep the water moving. I’ve used these tanks for watering my horses and they work out great. Very durable and they don’t tip over.

Great product
Product is excellent, but the shipping takes TWO MONTHS to delivered. So, order only if you don't mind about the long wait.

Excellent when used as a backyard dog pool for mid-sized dogs. Mine is a border collie, and on a hot summer day he jumps in and gets cooled off quickly. He's close to 50 lbs, and there is just enough room for him to jump about and play. Not a huge pool for him, but the main purpose was for him to get cooled off, and this does the job. Oh, my dog is also a digger when he's in the water (weird dog, he thinks that fish are in the pool and constantly digs at the bottom for them as soon as you say the word "fish"), which is the reason I went for this instead of the many dog pools advertised...they simply don't hold up to a dog's claws over time, if the dog is a digger. This stock tank is extremely durable and I expect we'll get many years of use out of it. *The only 'con': There is no drainage hole in it. However, emptying with a bucket in order to clean it only takes a couple of minutes. Very good product overall.

I was advised they needed a kiddie pool to cool off in the summertime
I have bought many Rubbermaid's as I've expanded my horse herd over the years. They continue to last through freezing, kicking and other extremes. So when I acquired 2 potbelly pigs, I was advised they needed a kiddie pool to cool off in the summertime. Knowing kiddie pools are not that durable, I wanted to see if they had a more shallow "stock tank" I could use. I was pleased the find the 50 gallon Rubbermaid- its short stature is perfect for the pigs to get in and out to wade in during the hot summer months. Product arrived fast and in good condition.

Works well, but pricey.
FIts Rubbermaid stock tanks perfectly, but pricey for a plastic plumbing fitting. It is very difficult to find a bulkhead fitting for the large-diameter hole in a Rubbermaid stock tank, so I finally gave up looking and grudgingly paid the price for the OEM fitting.

Bulk/Heavy shipping - takes longer to get.
Ordered this unit, and was told that it would be here in 2 days. But the problem is that it's bulk. So take note that it will be shipped with a larger carrier and you could end up waiting a bit longer for it. The unit itself is very well made, very sturdy, it is a commercial grade product that will stand up to the abuse of farm animals.

Great dog pool too!
Bought this as a dog pool. It is perfect for a medium to large dog. Solid. My husband attach a drainage plug so emptying it is easy. My dog is very impressed. Best part for him is biting the water as we fill it.
