18 miles, windy, hairy chest and no nipple pain
It's a little weird talking so much about my nipples, but I wanted to help other runners looking for a good solution. I had been using anti-chaffe stick, but it was wearing out at about mile 10 and I was having excruciating pain as many can relate to with nipple chafing. One of the other reviews had complained that they had trouble with the size of these protectors because it then went on his chest hair. I don't have a super hairy chest either, but enough hair that I was concerned it may feel like waxing when I went to take them off. After my run they came right off without any hair pulling. The hair didn't seem to effect their ability to stick either. I kept my hand over them for about 5 seconds when I first applied to make sure the adhesive warmed up and stuck. They did crinkle up a bit during my run, but stuck through all 18 miles. I will say that it was only about 70 degrees so it wasn't my sweatiest run, but my shirt was still thoroughly soaked. It was also a bit windy, which would have caused my nipples to stand up and be a real problem. These provided protection throughout the entire run and I never noticed them there. In fact, I forgot they were there and had to check a couple times to see if they were still on. My only complaints: they are a bit large and a bit expensive.

4 Stars because it lasted a Marathon -1 star because of cost
Great Product which actually works like it supposed too. First off I am a guy and never had to purchase nipple covers before, I started running long distance. I used bandaids for the longest time only for them to fall off after sweating! This product worked and lasted well past my first marathon finish. Pros 1. No chaffing of nipples during entire ING Hartford marathon (26.2 miles)= 4 stars 2. Adhesive held with profuse sweating and sunny temps in the high 60's. I actually had to peel off in shower afterwards because they stuck on so well. 3. Instructions in box were helpful and straightforward. - After applying I held my hand over the protector to allow the adhesive to warm up. Cons 1. Expensive for only getting 8 per box ($9.99(Prime free shipping) for 8 = 1.25 per cover) = -1 Star 2. Hair - I only have hair around my areola(Dark area around the nipple for the non medical folks.) I shaved the hair prior to the race to ensure they stuck. Unless your a male dancer does it matter what your chest looks like? No? Didn't think so! Overall I am very pleased with this product. I PRed on the marathon with a time of 4hrs 28 min. and 38 sec because well it was my first. It did it's job and I came home WITHOUT bloody nipples. Take it from the GUY who has NEVER WORN PASTIES!!!

Strong, and comfortable but maybe not necessary
These work well and are comfortable, there really is nothing wrong with them. The only thing stopping me from giving them 5 stars is that they may be unnecessary. Little square bandaids work almost as well and cost a 50th the price per wear. They aren't as soft but they do the job and you don't notice them. These are great if you don't mind spending the extra money though. I've gone to using these only when I run more than 10 miles but only because I have some left, the band aids work fine for the long runs too

Look odd under a shirt but work
These nip guards are somewhat of a solution to the problem I had while running. I have used the Body Glide for nips for a long time now, but as I'm training for a marathon, anytime I go over 7 miles, it wears off. I had to get these nip guards as a result. No problems with them sticking and staying in place, they do their job comfortably. The only issue is they look odd under the shirt if I have to run in the gym on a rainy/snowy day. As if I have headlights or something :)

They cover but look odd under shirt
I put these on and they crinkle up some. If you have a shirt on thats light weight you will notice the crinkle affect from the outside. I wanted to put these on and not be noticeable underneath a shirt.

Four Stars
They slip once in a while, but they do protect.

An expensive way to do the job
These are very effective, but no more so than using BandAid Tough Strips, and they're a lot more expensive. For the price, I had hoped that these could be reused, but the adhesive is pretty much done after your run.

They do the job!
Yay for post-long-run happy nipples! I like these compared to some other brands because they don't stick out and are basically invisible under a shirt. They definitely take some hair with them when removed, but it's better than blood stains and searing pain.
