It Does The Trick

Makes cleaning my Savage Axis .308 a lot easier. Stays in place and does not slide out when cleaning the rifle bore with a long cleaning rod.

Pro-Shot .22 Centerfire to .30 Caliber Adjustable Bore Guide I've purchased 2 of these things by different manufacturers. This one is the better of the two. I consider the design to be inferior. Fortunately I worked in machine shops for 46 years and made a design change that made this one satisfactory for me. Actually they both work okay, but my concern was the wall thickness was so thin out of necessity of the design, that the threaded stud only had maybe 3-4 threads of engagement to hold everything in place. I simply made a new part that circumvented that problem. Being a skilled machinist with mechanical engineering capabilities has many advantages. The other bore guide was a Tipton & it was useable also. The Tipton was the cheaper of the two.

Very well made in USA product

This works great for cleaning my bolt rifle. Only thing was that I needed a longer cleaning rod to accommodate the added length of the guide. My bad. Make sure you get a cleaning rod long enough, and you'll be happy.

Doesn’t not work with the Ruger American rifle. But it is definitely good quality as everything else Pro Shot makes

Good quality and easier cleaning

Does a pretty good job of keeping the bore solvents from getting in the action and prevents stainless rods from scuffing the bore. Haven't been able to get the "bolt lock" feature to work with a Mosin Nagant or a CZ 452 so I have to just hold it in. This is a pretty good quality bore guide and I recommend it to anyone. Made in USA!

Works great on my Savage 12FV. No dripping all over. No poking around trying to find the bore. With this rifle with a 26" barrel I need a 40" bore brush.
