Works great for a Pionus!

Though it appears rather large in size (label indicates it’s for a small to medium size bird…?)…it’s almost as big as my Pi…he loves this thing. I’m buying my third one. A Pi, unlike parrots that are much bigger who will decimate it in a matter of minutes (think Amazon/Cockatoo/African Grey, etc.), can work on this for months. I use it for foraging; I cram a Nutriberry or two in it, or a dried piece of fruit. He loves the thing. I hang it on top of his cage. Once the outside is chewed down a bit, he will simply pull out all the stuffing to get to the treat…so the outside “bag” lasts awhile. He has quite an assortment of homemade foraging stuff ranging in size (raisin boxes, small pill bottles, paper lunch bags, etc.). It took him awhile to “get it,” but now that he does, he has a great time pulling stuff apart looking for whatever may be in it. Sometimes there’s a treat, sometimes not. I keep it unpredictable…just like in nature. I use these until there’s very little left, and find a way to use every last bit of it. The construction of the outside bag is very sturdy, and holds up well so you can do that. I only have the very bottom left of the last one. I rehung it, and put some of his footsie toys in it. He loves new and different stuff, keeps him interested in exploring it…doesn’t have to be something new. ????

Big, Sturdy Shred Toy Approved by Budgie and Big Floofer

This big shred bag toy is so awesome! I got it for my budgie, Sparkly, who loves to shred and she is so happy with it. It’s also floofer approved by Snuggly the cockatiel. I also like that the top is open so that, if you’re like me, you have an option to restuff the bag with new shredI would definitely recommend and am thinking of buying a backup one in case it gets wore out.

Big & colorful

Great bird toy for the money. I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the package because this toy is big & beautiful. It’s very well made & is able to stand up to my cockatoos need to chew. She loves tearing out all the colorful paper shreds that are nicely packed into the purse & keeps her entertained for a very long time. Excellent product & would highly recommend.

Parrot loves it

Hours of beak time. He rips the colors paper strips and chews them into little wads like gum. Keeps him amused so worth it!

Typical construction materials, usual stuffing

My African gray targeted the top of the triangle and had it down in a matter of hours. I then used a Bird Kabob stuck through the hole to get some more use out of it. She quickly targeted the entry and exit points and had it down again in very short order. It just wasn't strong enough to hold up to her beak or her brain. For a smaller bird, like our now passed on conure, I think it would do much better. Typical construction materials, usual stuffing. Might benefit from having two attachments at the wide end of the triangle, rather than one at the narrow end.
