Excellent Skillet
I very rarely write reviews on a product immediately after purchasing in order to give it time to pass or fail. In this case it has been 4 years to this day since I purchased this skillet. I must start by saying that I'm not sure if the negative reviews I have read are accurate. Reading some of the reviews and looking at the some of the pictures provided it appears that either the reviewer failed to review the exact product featured here or Amazon posted their review to the wrong product. In 4 years I have not had a single problem with my skillet. Some reviewers wrote that the dimensions are false claiming a 20 inch skillet. The title clearly states a 16 inch skillet and the pan size in the description is accurate at 16 in. Long x 12 in. Wide x 3 in. Deep. Regarding the exploding lid, mine has not so much as developed a crack. Regarding the non-stick surface peeling, as you can see from my photos, it still looks brand new. My only possible explanation is that maybe the product has been made with cheaper material and far less quality since April 3, 2019. So I got really lucky. It is also possible that some reviewers are simply not telling the truth and attempting to get a refund or a replacement for their piece of garbage which was not what they were sent (the ole switch-a-roo). I can personally attest the that as a reseller of DVD movies here on Amazon. An example of that could be the person who claimed the lid exploded after handwashing yet they posted a picture of it clearly in their dishwasher (IDIOT). Not to say that it isn't dishwasher safe but why lie? Personally I fail to see a reason for putting it in the dishwasher. It is a very open pan with no weird or troublesome corners. I hand wash mine in the sink in like 30 seconds. Of course you shouldn't dish wash the base as it appears to have metal parts that could rust. Bottom line: I have found mine to be an excellent purchase that has lasted for 4 years now and still going strong!

Best Electric Frying Pan
I have had a dozen of Electric Frying Pans over the years and NONE of them performed the way this one does. I love it. The large Pan makes room for eggs, hashbrowns and sausages. All cooked at the same time. Love how deep this pan is. No sticky mess. food tastes great.

By far one of my favorite small appliances. We use this often. Perfect size when cooking for a family. Works great and is easy to clean. Highly recommended!

Almost perfect
I've had this skillet almost a month now. I use it every day, once or twice daily instead of the stove. I cook only for myself and electricity is a lot less using the skillet. So far, it is doing just fine. It's so easy to clean. The temp seems right on. I cook on 250/350. With the lid on, even tho I have very little splatter. I've added two tbsp oil once. It cooks just fine without adding oil. Chicken, beef, pork, no oil. Of course I don't bread any meats. I've made chili, potato soup, eggs, sausage, bacon, steak, chicken tenderloins, pork chops, cooks fine.y only wish is that the pouring spout would be on the right side. I'm not left handed and removing the lid and having to pick the utensil left handed is not very comfortable. I just deal with it. So far, so good.

This is a keeper.
My very difficult to please wife loves this skillet; it does everything well. Took off one star because no heating element in middle meaning she has to move food around some. Large capacity means she can prepare more items, e.g. burgers, so fewer meals to fix. Saves her time & effort.

Purchased this a month ago, and have used it everyday, sometimes twice a day without any problems. Very easy to assemble and cleaning is no hassle, all I do is wipe it out, using damp paper towels and then wash it in sink. I use Dawn liquid, rise and then let it dry. One thing people need to be aware of is that bc it is larger than a 12x12, it does take longer to heat up. I have also seen reviews in which people are saying that it keeps turning itself on and off. Its suppose to do that in order to maintain the temperature, just as a regular oven works. As for the rust/discolored ring. I have not had that problem yet, but the instructions say that can be removed by using a vinager/water mix. As for the glass lid. I cook a lot of fry chicken. The first half of cooking the lid is completely used. Once I flip it over, I position the lid somewhat crooked to let more steam out. So far no problem. I have made eggs, steak, sautéed veggies, fried potatoes, taco seasoned meat, spaghetti sauce, and pancakes; and much more. All have turned out beautifully! Now, one thing that I am being careful with is reattaching the handles. Instead of pushing them up, until I hear a snap, I am pushing the handle release down and then locking it in place. I decided to do tjis bc the part on the frying pan doesnt seem to be heavy duty and if anything breaks,, I believe it would be one of them. Other than that, I am delighted with this fryer. I highly recommend it.

This was a gift for our daughter.
Our daughter says she uses the skillet often. She has two teenage sons so when she cooks, she cooks a lot. She says it is very easy to use. She has not committed on the ease of cleaning.

Perfection
I use this electric skillet for everything. I made fried chicken to perfection. Husband and son approved! I made breakfast scramble frittatas in minutes rather than 50 minutes in the oven. I absolutely love this skillet. It is huge.

Best skillet yet
Heat distribution excellent. Cleanup a breeze, cooks large quantities. Fold up nicely. Pleasant to look at. Very durable. Excellent all around product highly recommended and I’ve used them all. Hope they never discontinue. The only concern is the heat that comes off onto the dial but so far there does not seem to be any sign of deterioration. They should develop a guard against the heat on these elements. It seems to be the largest issue besides coatings peeling . But this skillet stands up to it all. And the depth is incredible!!!

Almost perfect
I have always had an electric skillet and use them often, in fact I have worn out 2 of them over the years. When it came time to replace my old one, I did a lot of research. Most of the skillets out there are now too small for my needs, and many of them had terrible reviews for durability. The Presto Foldaway comes in 2 sizes, and had very good, detailed reviews. I chose the 16" model. The Presto Foldaway is a great pan so far. It is big, really big. I can cook 6 pieces of French toast at once in it, and it is deep enough for the stir-fries that I make a couple times a week. It does not have hot spots that I can tell, and sits evenly. It feels substantial, not flimsy. It is easy to assemble, and just as easy to fold away for storage. I line the pan with a tea towel before putting in the base, to prevent scratching the non-stick coating. The glass lid and pouring corner are nice touches. It cleans up well; I wash by hand. My only gripe, and the reason this did not get 5 stars, is that the cord is short. Very short, ridiculously short. Another 6" of cord, or better yet another 12", would make this much more convenient to use on my counters. Overall I am quite happy with this pan and hope it lasts for years and years.

This is the best electric skillet!
Love this electric skillet! Needed it to cook on the road at hotels and this skillet lived up to the task. Loved that the base detaches to make clean up super easy and low profile storage. The pour spout is a great feature for draining out liquids. The heat is amazing and distributed evenly. We were able to boil water and cook pasta in it.

BEST FRY PAN!
I love this pan! Even heat, amazing to clean, looks expensive and fancy, but the dishwasher advantage is worth the money alone. If you are hesitating on buying this don't! You need this!
