Another OUTSTANDING Tovolo Product
For starters, I have a set of Tovolo Large "Modern" trays that I've been using for several years and absolutely love them. There are extremely high quality, strong/sturdy, easy to clean and easy to identify (the two I already have are red (uncooked food) and black (cooked food), so easy to identify if grilling in low light conditions. Additionally, the trays stack nicely, so when I'm taking uncooked food out, I have that tray on top and the clean tray underneath. After putting the food on the grill, I can swap the soiled tray underneath, so you can easily carry both trays out and not have to make trips back and forth into the house for trays and don't have to battle real estate for multiple trays outside. So when I saw this marinade set I was anxious to get and try it out and, as expected, it's also a hit in my book. While smaller than the large trays, the marinade tray is excellent with the high sides and is basically like a casserole dish. You can marinade your meats in it and use the "clean" tray as a cover in the fridge. Ditto at the grill. Place your meat on the grates and place your "clean" tray on top and you're ready to carry in your cooked food and soiled marinade tray in one trip. The melamine construction is extremely strong, easy to clean (by hand or dishwasher) and doesn't stain or absorb food odors. I will caution against dropping them. While I haven't, and didn't even concern myself with this with the existing trays, when I ordered this marinade set, the first arrived with one end of the marinade dish shattered on delivery (bubble wrapped in an Amazon box). The box must have been slammed at some point during shipping. A replacement quickly arrived without issue, but the experience did highlight to me that the strength of the trays are accompanies by some brittleness, so be cautious (of course, If I drop mine, I'll be more upset over the cost of the food lost than I will the trays. Overall, I highly recommend both the marinade set and the modern trays. I'm a huge fan and have bought other Tovolo trays to give to friends who frequently grill as gifts.

Size not true to measurement
When you order the large blue rectangular marinate trade, you will receive a red small square marinate trade. I believe there is a size error and labeling of the product and despite asking for exchange, the same error occurs again. I believe the marinate trade is a bit overrated now that I'm seeing this since it is quite odd that you need a separate tray just for the task when you have other perfectly suita le options in your kitchen. The plastic is tough but not unbreakable, but it is dish washer safe.

Nice marinade set but runs very SMALL
I had an old "T" branded red and clear marinade set that I used quite a bit and it worked well. I used it too close to my grill and melted the corner of it so my meat has been less flavorful for awhile. I saw this set and immediately got excited since it looks and operates just like my old set! And this set DELIVERS all the same features as my old one and is actually a bit more sturdy! The plastic is a bit firmer and probably will stand up to heat better, lol. The only thing I took a star off for is the size. My old one could hold an entire flank steak for tacos, or could hold about 4-5 large ribeye steaks in one go. This one, although it says large, can fit a half a flank steak or only about 2 ribeyes. That doesn't change how great this works! The grooves and the seal let you move the meat and flip it while staying clean in the fridge. It works just as well as my old one, but just much smaller than I thought since I ordered a LARGE. Great product, just needs to call the large something else!

Size was off, but otherwise nice tray for prep and cooking
This marinade tray with lid is rather nice, well made with a robust design. I was a bit surprised at the size, as the one I received was much smaller than I expected based upon the listing, it was also not the deep blue I expected, but red. Although I think this is a fine product, the listing should be updated to reflect the actual product dimensions and color, as some folks will be dissatisfied receiving an item that is functionally different than the listing indicates.

Good quality
This is a really good quality pan, my only complaint is that I wish it had a lid that snaps close. The lid that’s with it kind of moves around and makes it hard to hold on to. I’m afraid I will drop it

Works great!!
I love to cook and I especially love to grill. Now that the weather is getting to be perfect for grilling outside, I saw this and thought I would try it out because I love nothing more than some good marinated chicken or steak!! I will say that this is made exceptionally well!! I honestly thought it was plastic, but I do believe that it's actually glass. At least it feels like it. Last weekend the weather was just right, so I put in some chicken and some good marinade overnight in the fridge using this. Before, all I have ever used was just plastic bags. I will definitely not be using the plastic bag method anymore!!! The marinade I used is one I've used many times before, but when I used this, I could not believe how much better the chicken tasted!!! And I got a bunch of compliments about it too! I honestly never thought that just switching what I marinate chicken in would make a difference, but it did!! The best part is that after everything was over, when it was time to get the dishes done, this was really very easy to clean up. Nothing had to get scrubbed or anything! I definitely recommend this because I never thought having one of these would make such a difference, but I am sold! No more plastic bags for marinating ever again!!

This isn't blue
3 stars because I ordered this in blue but received red which doesn't match my kitchen. Besides that both pieces are sturdy and will be good for grilling. Both pieces are dishwasher safe which makes cleaning easy. Good value if I would have received the correct color.
