Tritan Tumblers

I purchased these tumblers to replace plastic glassware that has become cloudy and scratched due to use as well as not being dishwasher safe. My primary reason in purchasing this particular set was based on the fact these are dishwasher safe and will not cloud up. They are a good size, 22 oz, which is another reason for the purchase. I am very happy with the product, but only time will determine whether they will remain clear throughout dishwasher cleaning.

Large, great looking and durable. Love these.

These glass-like plastic tumblers are made of Tritan, which is a smooth, clear, durable type of plastic that I love. We have several Tritan pieces that we've had for a more than a year now, such as a different set of tumblers, some food storage containers and the smoothie blender jars that came with our Ninja blender. In my experience, Tritan is very durable and scratch resistant. It does scratch just a bit, but overall, they don't scratch much at all. I have had very good results with those other Tritan items and I am hoping/assuming tumblers these will wear just as well. They keep their glass-like look and do not yellow, split or crack like some inexpensive clear acrylic tumblers I have. I love the size of these as they are nice and large. Obviously these are not as heavy as glass tumblers, but they are large and feel great in the hand. The hold a pint of beer nicely with plenty of room for a thick head of foam. These are also great for kids or for using outside on the patio, since they are tough and will not break if dropped. They wash well in the dishwasher. I try to keep them on the top rack but a few times my kids have placed them on the bottom rack and they did not melt or become misshapen. Overall these glasses are thick, durable and large and look like nice glass restuarant tumblers. I've only had them a short time but I expect they will hold up as nicely and stay looking as new as the other Tritan serveware we have. Highly recommended.

Terrific casual plastic glasses

The 22 ounce version of Prepara Clarity Classic Tritan Tumblers are genuinely nice plastic glasses - similar to what you'd see in a classic pizza parlour, except a lot sturdier and with plastic that's clearer. Not a ton to be said about these besides that they really are clear; you can see liquid drops if you're mixing stuff in them, which can be a little weird. Their clarity also does seem to hold up far better than the ones you'd find at the all you can eat buffet, although these haven't been put through thousands of cleaning cycles yet. You won't mistake them for a glass cup by any means, as they're very clearly plastic, but they're nice enough so you can use them at most things outside of a formal dinner. 5 stars. Useful thing to have in a cabinet for daily utility use.

great glasses, a bit overpriced

i really like these glasses, however they are a bit overpriced in my opinion. they are sharp looking plastic cups, but they are plastic. and i wouldn't buy them again at the price they are.

Great for Households with Kids

Our little guy is getting to the point where he wants to drink out of the "adult" glasses, but doesn't have his motor skills fine tuned enough that we trust him with glass. These cups are perfect-- they look nice and look like glass, are thick and durable, but are also much lighter than our real glass cups. besides not having to worry about these breaking, we like them because our house just looks better without a bunch of cartoon-y cups lying around.

Looks Like Glass but Unbreakable--Great Around the Pool

Made in China, these tumblers are made of Tritan plastic which is clear and looks like glass but is much lighter and shatterproof. Mine came well packaged and arrived safely and scratch free. I ran them through the dishwasher and they came out sparkling. The Tritan plastic doesn't feel like the typical hard plastic. It feels softer and when they clink against one another, they sound like a softer plastic, but they don't flex. I like the feel of them in my hand. Very secure. These 22 oz tumblers will hold a bottle of water with room for plenty of ice. They look great but won't break so they are safe outside around the pool or little ones. Great gift idea for any occasion from weddings to house warmings or Christmas. Highly Recommend.

Survive drops well.....

We have another set like these, except from another brand. They look exactly the same to us, though. We've loved having them both around and they're the ones we pick to drink out of the most. They're lightweight and easy to hold, and they hold a lot. They do pretty well in the dishwasher, though they do get a little scratched up here and there(nothing drastic). Also, due to the design, water tends to pool in the bottom of them(upside down) in the dishwasher. I have to carefully take them out and dump the excess water in the sink. They've survived drops well, though, and have actually lasted great for us so far. I have nervous, shaky hands and unfortunately drop things regularly. Plus, we have 3 children. When things don't break, we take notice. For that alone, they deserve 5 stars. We've been super happy with these.
