A great screw for decking and other wood jobs

These are great screws, easy to use and re-use, based on your projects. I like how they sink, and very minimal on wood splitting based on their design. They are not cheap, but they are good quality. I've purchased many boxes over the last couple years.

"Star" fasteners much better than Philips or slotted ones

I've used these fasteners for decades, I have a crate with every size from 1 1/4" to 6" so I always have the right one for the job. The star head makes it easy to balance the fastener on the bit for difficult-to-reach applications, I have done the same with Philips, but often have to make several attempts as the screw falls off of the Philips. Unlike Philips, these are extremely resistant to getting stripped. I use a lot of screws where I would have used nails years ago, much better grip and the ability to remove without tearing everything up is great.

Perfect screws for my project

I just finished redecking my old deck. Very pleased with these screws. Easy to use, although I did make pilot hole in new decking I didn't have any problems with these screws.

Box of screws

Got a box of screws for cheap. They seem to drill themselves into wood when turned clockwise. The opposite is true when turned CCW. I'll buy more when box gets empty.

Great screw

Great screw for outdoor and indoor projects alike. Doesn't seem to slip, grabs fairly quickly. Smaller shank and head than other, comparable screws. My only complaint is in the advertisement: the box does NOT contain 530 pcs, and the 3" screws (made by the same company) do NOT contain 900 pieces. I ordered several boxes of each size for a few recent projects, but found the counts to be off, in particular with the latter, which states that the 5# box has some 900 pieces, when in reality it is closer to 400 pieces. Whatever the exact count, the buyer should know that every box contains at least a dozen or so screws that are unusable because the head is filled with the coating that keeps a bit from being able to grab the screw to turn it. Other than those things, this is a good screw.

Great screws.

Great screws and quick shipping. However minus one star because more than just a few take forever to start in. Also they tend to break if you reuse them. Since I have probably twelve pounds left this shouldn’t be a problem
