Efficient. Critical for a well functioning garage.
Very easy to install. Our family just switched from snowboarding to skiing and this holds all our skis with extra room for a few more extra pairs. Very efficient. A+

Until next season...
Winter is over, time to store away the snowboards and skis. We are a family of 4 and we all ski and snowboard. Everyone has 2-3 sets of skis and snowboards, so storage is ALWAYS a necessity and challenge when the season is over. We ordered the wall mount for 8 skis. This is a great solution to keep all of our boards/skis organized and it makes for a great display also. As you can see from the picture on the posting the board and skis can be placed neatly and also beautifully displayed. Since the rack will be holding the weight of several snowboards/skis you will need to reinforce the wall when installing the rack. Installing is definitely a 2 person job to help get it straight, but if you are a carpenter I am sure you are an expert. Overall we am satisfied with the product , but after continues use if the product does not continue to warrant the rating I am giving the product I will update the review with information and pictures. I am having issues with my camera, so more pictures to come.

Sturdy, simple, and functional ski rack
The first thing I noticed when pulling this out of the box is that it is heavier than I expected, which seems to be from the fact that the metal used is fairly thick and sturdy. Between the weight of the rack and the weight of the skis you definitely need to take the time to mount this correctly. The holes on the rack are 16 inches apart, which is typically the space between studs, so if the studs you want to hang this on are a different width then you need to first secure a sturdy board to the studs and then secure this rack to the board. I really like that the ski holding prongs on this are rubber coated to help protect the skis. Another rack I have does not have this so with that I use microfiber cloths when hanging the skis to help prevent damage. Because of the rubber coating that is not needed here. Once you have the rack secured it is very easy to use. You just put your skis base to base, slide the pair into the prongs, and then they hang from the place near the tips where the skis start to curve upward. One slight issue I have had is that if you have a couple pairs between prongs and they are there for a long time the weight will push the prongs outward ever so slightly and the skis will drop down just a tiny bit. When this happens I have not had a pair fall through but they start to push outward, so the skis are still joined near the tips but the tails go outward and make sort of a triangle. I solved this by putting a tight strap on prongs holding pairs that I knew would not be removed for a long time.

As described
This is as described. This was easy to install and use. The holes for the screws are already drilled to 16 in stud spacing. Literally all you have to do is find the wall studs and screw this in. With the 8 ski model mounting this with screws direct to the wall studs is a must, it will just pull through dry wall if not. I do wish the bracket was a little bit wider though to distribute the weight a bit more. If you have some big ol fatty pow skis this might not hold the whole 8 skis. But for the price.... its a pretty nice setup.

Bigger than expected and happy about it
I was thought it would be smaller and compact, but was happy to see it's roomier than expected. It's still light weight and not complicated to install but the extra room gives me many more options when using it.

Robust but heavy
I am an avid skier with many pairs of skis. I prefer this kind of ski storage solution to the type that clamp down and tighten on the skis as they hang as that type puts tension on the skis. Here, you drill into the wall and simply lean the skis up against the slots. The ski poles can be hung from the device as well. I will say that this product is rather heavy so will need to be attached to strong studs. I have used other similar devices where the horizontal strip is first drilled into the support beams and the individual ski slots then slide on and I prefer that style. It allows for more customization. That is why this product gets 4 stars rather than 5.

A practical common sense strategy for storage of seasonal ski equipment.
GoSport created the perfect ski rack by giving attention to details. Heavy duty all metal construction with rubber coating for careful application shows they know how we want our ski equipment handled given our investment. This is built to handle real weight but it is only as strong as what you mount it to. Know how to locate the wood stud behind the wall - there are many simple efficient inexpensive tools that pinpoint the location for you. You must be sure you anchor this rack into the strong wood board. Then it is smooth sailing and enjoyable displaying of skis that were previously cluttered in a corner propped against the wall. This bracket is a must, not only for organization but for the well-being of the equipment's longevity. Don't over-crowd this rack when you can easily be practical and buy two!
