Used as a drink holder on a sailboat
First off, I'm not a golfer so I don't have any thoughts on this item as it was designed to be used. I bought it because it looked like it would be an easy attachment to the stainless steel rails and tubing that surround the cockpit of my boat. It works not bad for this purpose. The only real negative is that it really can't be used in the position shown in the picture (that is attached to a horizontal bar ... if it is, it just rotates down and spills the drink :-( You just can't get the clamp tight enough to stop the rotation when a full glass beverage container is being held. For a vertical rail tho', it works great! And the fact that it swivels makes it great for when the boat heels over ... keeps my beverage level. I recommend them (and have 2 of them in use), but if you need attachments for non-vertical rails, consider the universal drink holders from zarcor (I have 4 of those aboard). Cheers, Mike

I have my Bag Boy Universal Beverage Holder mounted on my BB Express cart. It does not hold more than a water bottle. It also slips even though I tightened it quite a bit. My solution to the problem was to jam a foil covered Comet Cleanser can into the holder and heat it with a small torch. I was hoping it is thermoplastic and will hold its new, expanded size. To keep the unit from slipping on the bar I first tried velcro inside the jaws. That was not what I wanted, so I drilled through the jaws and the support pipe, and through bolted it. These are both pretty extreme measures, but the only way I could think to make it work. This is a second rate accessory and not typical of the Bag Boy line of equipment, in my opinion. In addition the the Express cart (which is an old, discontinued model), I have an umbrella holder and have a seat on order. So, I like Bag Boy, but feel they dropped the ball on this accessory.

Water Bottle Holder
I had some difficulty attaching it, but now it works very well.

A great replacement for the original holder.
So far it has proved to be sturdy. The reason for four stars instead of five is that the rubber gripping surface was not enough to keep it from slipping, and I had to wrap some textured tape around the golf cart frame.

works well
No instructions but easy to figure out how to adjust the clamp to fit securely (just turn the clamp lever to tighen or loosen to better fit the bar it is being attached to). I even use it on my lawn mower and it hangs on pretty well even with all the vibration and bouncing.

Good . . . But Not for Bigger Bottles
I bought this for a friend and he was delighted that it adapted to his ancient square-tube push cart. It does hold a small water bottle just fine and it might (haven't tested this) manage a bottle of Gatorade, but anything larger would be a real squeeze.

Holds cans and bottles snuggly
I recently added this beverage holder to my hand cart. It clamps on securely and also holds most beverages securely. The arms hold a bottle or can snuggly. However they will crush a styrofoam cup or thin plastic bottle.
