Works for a small space
I live in an apartment and was tired of seeing my workout equipment on the floor. This rack fits exactly where I needed to and it has enough room for what I need. It is on the smaller size, so if you have weights that are heavier, they might not fit on the rack. The rack does seem sturdy though. Great for a small home gym. Assembling it was easy enough, but I did need to borrow a set of ratcheting wrenches as you DO need to use them. The Allen Wrench it comes with is not enough. I've never assembled something that didn't bring the tools you needed. I even have a small wrench from something else I purchased that included it. Anyway, that would be the only complaint I would have so far.

Nice little dumbbell rack!
Just got this, and it's working out well as a neat, efficient way to store my dumbbell set. I have a set of Fitness Republic neoprene weights in 3, 5, 8, 10, 12, 15, and 17.5 lb sizes. On the sides I keep the 10, 12, 15 and 17.5 lb weights. The 17.5 lb weight doesn't really fit properly - it doesn't go all the way in and sit flush against the rack - but it works ok. Probably weights any larger than that wouldn't work in the sides. I keep the 3, 5 and 8 lb weights on the top bar. The 3 lb weights sit lopsided because they are not large enough. Also, I checked to see if the 3 and 5 lb weights could fit in the sides and they were a no-go. The 8 lb weight fits fine in the side. The bottom could be used for dumbbells too, I guess - if you had a bigger set that might be where you would want to put the heavier dumbells. But I keep basketballs there. Two basketballs fit there quite nicely and stay put. In terms of assembly, this wasn't too hard once I had the right tools. I had never encountered a locknut before, so I was a little confused at first, but with a little research and a trip to the hardware store, I was able to get it together. I got a Craftsman socket wrench set and used the 13 mm size socket. This fits over the locknut and holds it in place while you tighten the bolt with the allen wrench. You could probably do it with an adjustable wrench, although I have to say the socket wrench made it very easy. It was pretty easy to hold it steady and I didn't have to apply a lot of pressure to tighten it up. I'm not handy by any stretch, so if I can do this, so can you. Its a nice little dumbbell rack. Doesn't take up a lot of space. Holds my stuff. Feels very sturdy. Not really "pretty" but pretty enough. It's a smooth black iron - no unfinished or rough spots, and no odor like I've seen mentioned in reviews of other racks. So no need to relegate to the garage or basement; this is totally fine for having in the house. I keep mine in my bedroom. It helps that the multi-colored neoprene weights are pretty and cover most of the rack. :)

Shipped With Insufficient Hardware - Provide Your Own Wrench
This would be a very space-efficient and sturdy piece for those without a lot of room and without a lot of heavy weights. It took me about five minutes to assemble, and the assembly is incredibly straightforward. Unfortunately, as appears to be the case with some other 1-star reviews, the hardware provided is insufficient. The screws are either too long, or the bolts should be threaded all the way through. As it is, at 100% assembled, there is still about 1/2 centimeter gap between the crossbars and the the supports. This means that the unit will sway about 30 degrees in each direction. No amount of force is capable of closing that gap. EDIT: I went digging for a wrench that would fit, and I have been able to assemble this with the original hardware and my own tools. The gap is gone, and the unit is very stable. So: if you don't own a wrench, you'll either need to return this or go out and buy one (which you should do anyway).

Just what I needed
When I started working out more and needing heavier places, it was getting crazy trying to store all of them under the side table in my living room where I workout. When I saw this, it seemed perfect, and it has been ideal for my needs. I have 20, 15, 12, 10, 8, and 5 pounds weights stored on the bottom, sides, and part of the top, and use the rest of the top for holding other workout equipment like stretch bands and sliding discs. It holds it all no problem, and I could even fit at least 1-2 more sets of weights if I moved stuff around. It is very sturdy for holding all the weight I have on it, and even if I got a bigger set of weights, which I plan to do eventually, I have no doubt it would fit those as well with no problem. Perfect for storing in front of my bookshelf without taking up much space.

Smaller than it looks but it'll do the job
First impression was "Whoa that's small..." Putting it together is simple but the nylon lock nuts make it a pain. Grab some channel locks and just work through it. One of the washers was broken but I don't think that'll be an issue. Eitherway it's pretty sturdy when it's all together. I feel confident that it will hold the weight. I'm not crazy about how low it is...I'm unable to put all of the dumbbells I have on the sides since the gapping is too small (see pictures). All in all for the price it's not bad. You might want to get something a bit bigger of you have 30 lbs + dumbbells.

Good value for the money. Good functionality
I feel the concept of the dumbbell rack when used in conjunction with idea of saving space is an efficient way to store dumbells. The only problem I find is that You can’t stack 2 30s or 40s on the same side with them stacking on top of each other on not sitting properly in the side racks. But if you like Tetris u can move them around and find ways to stack them on there so u don’t have any touching each other.

Perfect Rack
For a rack at home to hold a few dumbbells this is perfect - was super easy to put together and is very sturdy. I keep all my weights and reistance bands and shoes on here. Not too bulky and just keeps everything organized in one spot. Definately recommend this rack.

Great product
Sturdy and does the job. Know that it can hold weight up to about 35 lbs based on the spacing between the slots. My 45 lbs bells are placed across the bottom horizontal brackets.
