Not a complete game changer but works I guess, pole and suction super weak

Worth the costs
The stick isn't worth the extra $4.00, it is not sturdy as all. I have a very small pool and this thing didn't make it to it's 3rd use. The suction is good and it works well. But the stick was a disappointment. I recommend excluding it from your order.

Works perfectly but frustrating
I ordered this a while back and finally had a chance to use it. When getting it out of the package I near cut myself because of the stupid packaging. The instructions are nil, but it is pretty self explanitory accept for the place where the handle is supposed to fit. I thought I had lost a pice, looked everywhere, but didn't find anything missing so I ened up spending a frustrating half hour trying to get the white wishboan out of the handle area. Once I did the handle went in screwed down and I was finally able to do the cleaning of my hot tub. With all the frustrating of getting it together the ease to use was amazing and I was finished in under ten minutes.

It fell apart. The plastic side seam split.
It was super easy to use. The suction was great. But the plastic sidewall seam split. After one use. It could’ve been because the way it was shipped. Just send it in a paper envelope. Probably needed a box so it Would be protected better.

A MUST BUY for small pool owners
I have an Intex easy set 15x48. I use the standard pump it came with. I had intentions of upgrading the pump but mine is working quite well. I know from past experience that vacuums you hook up to these little pumps do not work and it's a huge mess to even try. The holes in my net are too big to get the teeny tiny particles that settle on the bottom like tiny bugs, dirt, etc. This vacuum wasn't much more expensive than the price of a skimmer net with smaller holes so I figured I'd give it a try. I am so glad I did because it is phenomenal. It gets everything off the bottom of my pool with just one pass. I can not believe it. My advice is to hook the adapter to your hose first, then snap that into the vacuum, then attach vacuum to pole. Finally, it helps keep the hose from being unweildy if you zip-tie/velcro it to your pole in a couple of spots. You will want the vacuum already in your pool before you turn the water on. Also, using the hose, it will add water to your pool so you may have to drain a little if you are super full. I would definitely recommend this vacuum. I paid $29 for it and it was totally worth it!

Peace of mind..... great product
I am just an ordinary person looking for a product like this! Every time I looked in the bottom of my kids pool and the hot tub I just wanted to cry because I could not get the debris out. I’ve tried turkey baster‘s and silly putty… Please don’t waste your time. This suction wand has saved my sanity. I added two pictures so that you could see it hooked to the hose and then another picture of the debris that was in the bag. Now I couldn’t get it hooked up that’s why I gave it four stars in that area. My son-in-law did it for me. But now that it’s together I can hook and unhook it from the hose. There is one connection that’s kind of tight but if it wasn’t I don’t think it would suck properly. I think it’s the best $20 I’ve ever spent to relieve this particular frustration. If it only last six months I would buy it again and again and again it is that awesome.

Works great in my spa
My Polaris 280 always gets the sand, pebbles and leaves out of my pool but it doesn't work in the spa. I needed something small and maneuverable to get in the smaller spaces. I just got new pebble tec and the sand and pebbles were building up fast. I don't like using the skimmer vacuum because I don't want the sand and small pebbles going through the pump. This thing did a great job of getting everything out of my spa using the water hose. The bag is similar to the Polaris 280 and catches the sand well. Great tool for the money. I knocked off one start because the packaging was ridiculously difficult to open. I needed scissors, needle nose pliers and about 15 minutes in constant fear of slicing my hand on the stiff molded tamper proof plastic package. It was also difficult not to damage the product getting it out of the package.

Good for Dirt!
Used it 3 times now. Best part of the whole rig is the bag (believe it or not) due to its fine mesh netting, which allows it to contain dirt. The Kreepy Krauly takes care of leaves and small debris, but doesn’t suck up dirt. This does, and the bag holds the dirt. Suction using a garden hose is a little sucky (pun intended), OK, call it weak; so you have to linger over problem spots for a couple of minutes for it to do its job. But, if you maintain your own pool, as do I, then you’ve got enough time on your hands to linger. ???? Only reason I rate it 4 instead of 5 stars is the sucky suction. Otherwise, it does what it is intended to do. May buy another for a spare in case this one breaks or wears out.

Worth every penny
Was recommended this by a friend, for the money it is excellent

Great value, does the job
Update - This is only good for vacuuming larger bits from the bottom of the pool If you have any kind of fine particulate to clear, this is useless. I had some brown algae after winter (it's like a fine dust that settles at the bottom) and it passed through the collection bag and just put the algae back into solution and made the water gross and murky. I had to get a full pool vacuum setup and no longer use this vacuum. Too bad, I really liked how easy it was. Love that I don’t have to mess with pool hoses for this vacuum. The suction is good but you have to go kinda slow to do a good job. It gets leaves, bugs, sand, no problem. It does add a bit of water to the pool but not enough to make a big difference. Be careful taking it out, best to have someone turning off the water while you take it out simultaneously or you might lose some of the debris back in the pool. One negative - the pole it comes with is a little short, would be better if it had one more section. (The version with no pole did not fit my Bestway skimmer pole so I had to return it for this one.) Still gets 5 stars cause it’s effective and you can’t beat the cost!

Not for ponds or silt!
I could see how this would be perfect for a pool but not for ponds. The silt went right through the bag so I used a filter sock I had for my fish tank. Worked fairly well in deeper sections but if the water isn’t over the top where the filter attaches, it does nothing. It also had plastic wheels that had little catches on them which made me worry about liner damage. Did not pick up any leaves. Can’t speak to how it would work on a pool with a more level surface and deeper water.

A bit frustrating to use the pole that comes with this
First, as others have noted, if one wishes to shun the pole that comes with this kit and buy a "standard" pool net pole, be warned that the 1.25" diameter it requires is not particularly standard. (In other words, it's a lot larger than the two pool poles I've owned.) Knowing that, I decided to buy the Black Magic kit that includes a pole. The Black Magic pole itself was easy to assemble. However, to use it, you will need to first pry out the V-clip that would otherwise fit the pool pole that you opted not buy separately. (N.B. If I had shelled out the $$ to buy a large pool pole separately, it would fit OVER the Black Magic part and be held in place by the V-clip. If you use the Black Magic pole, it fits INSIDE the Black Magic part and is screwed into place.) I'm dexterous and determined, so I got that deeply embedded V-clip out in one piece. But, it took an hour and a lot of salty language. (I will admit that some of my frustration was due to an overly insistent chipmunk, who kept scrambling up onto me and inquiring loudly after peanuts from whatever vantage point he could gain on my person. Peanut-crazed chipmunks and stubborn V-clips are not a Zen combo.) After all that poking, squeezing, prying, peanut feeding and swearing, one is left with a single burning question: Why on earth would the manufacturer of this product make it so difficult to actually use the pole that comes with it? Due to the aforementioned ordeal, I've only used this product once, so I can't really assess its efficacy in vacuuming up debris. Given that a lot of water was leaking from where the hose adapter attaches to the brush, the suction was less than optimal. I may need to tinker with the water pressure and the adapter itself to improve the results. I will say, however, that I am pleased with the size of the debris bag and the fineness of its mesh weave. If I ever manage to get this thing working properly -- and the chipmunk and I have faith that I will -- it should do a decent job of filtering out a lot of the finer debris particles.

perfect for the size it is
Ordered this as it connected to the pool pump hose. Performed as it should. I cleaned the bottom of the pool in a short time. Would recommend for above ground pools.
