A good pump

I have had this pump running for about a year and find myself quite satisfied. The pump pumps air through an almost 48inch bubble wall hose and the other hook up currently just off gases as we don't need it at this time. Over all the pump is fairly quiet as long as it is balance properly. If the pump becomes unbalanced or leans against something it becomes quite loud as it vibrates quite a bit.

Silent no Quiet yes

It works but it isn't silent. The sound it makes is a vibration rumble. It is the quietest air pump I've encountered. If the noise still bothers you run the air hose from a closet. If it still bothers you get some aquarium plants. I've never had a problem with them making too much noise.

Air pump-Updated INFO

Not as quiet as I expected. A little disappointed. Would have thought it would gave been quieter for how expensive it was. Update October 2013. VERY VERY UNHAPPY...This pump has gotten to be so loud, only after 6 months. Cant use it becuase it makes so much noise. I contacted manufactuer and was told I had to buy a repair kit that costs $21.00 with shipping. Its not even a year old yet and I never had to do pump maint on a barley used pump. THey should warn you when you purchase this that you will need to buy the maintenance kit and that the manufactuer will not replace, just tells you to buy the kit. I will never buy from this company again. Very annoyed

This is a replacement for identical product used for oxygenation of small aquaponics system. They work great.

finally rebuilt mine after at least 5 years of continuous service. These are quiet, powerful, rebuildable. more expensive than the cheap ones. certainly cheaper then replacing a cheap air pump every nine months.

Not silent enough

I brought this, as a backup for my old resun. But, it's more noisy than my old resun. You will notice the difference every night.
