Helped with ants
Bought this because I had so many ants in my bathroom and bedroom carpet. They were coming in through the walls I guess? I bought this because it’s promoted as pet safe. I used it one time. I poured it out in the general area I needed it, then I worked it into the carpet with my broom. Then let it sit in the carpet for about an hour before vacuuming it up. It smelled like the powder for a few days, but the smell wasn’t bad at all. It didn’t bother me. And I haven’t seen any ants since.

Works
It seems to have worked, I don't see my cat scratching anymore, I was afraid to use it after reading the bad reviews about use with cats at home but I had no problems, I used in the bedroom and left the door closed so the cat didn't go there for 2 days. The only problem is that it’s not possible to visit the treated room for at least two days because the smell is very strong even after vacuuming 3 times.

Only thing that would work
We have a new house and with that came a headache I never had to deal with 250.00 dollars later found the magic and will only use them again if I have to . The scent is amazing , makes the carpets look brane new , doesn't hurt indoor pets , when you vucaam make sure your pet bowls are covered or move no fans on the longer you put it down the better off you are . I do this once a month now saying I live in a very warm state and flea season is among us . My pet control guy recommended it doesn't hurt. Use in your vehicles as well trunk area . I have a single home 3 bedroom home took 4 to do each area that had carpet really good. Or get one for each room that has carpet . I did mine for 3 hours let it or do 24 hours for really bad infestation.

Yes the scent is strong but it works!
UPDATE: the ticks are back a couple weeks later so I bit the bullet and ordered the $40 Seresto collars which seem to be working. I still rate this product 5 stars due to it killing the ticks initially and refreshing the carpet. However, it does not kill new ticks that are tracked in from outdoors allowing a whole new cycle to start. As other reviewers state, the scent is very strong but does NOT stink. It smells like geranium essential oil and dissipates after a week. If you're sensitive to smells, wear a mask or leave for a day if possible. I love geranium so I slept fine with the smell and my dogs seemed to like it, too. I used a whole can on my bedroom that was tick infested. Before treating the room I was pulling 10-12 ticks off my two dogs daily. Now there's only 2-3 every couple days. It beat out all the other sprays, squeeze on treatments and cheap Walmart collars. I'm buying more to do my other room. NOTE: Wear a mask until the product is settled. I sprinkled it out then brushed it in with a broom and did NOT vacuum. It's diatomaceous earth which is too fine for most vacuums causing a dust cloud or clogging them up. Once all the ticks are gone I will shampoo the carpet to get the powder up.

Up's and Down's
Received this today and used it right away. It has a very strong scent. If you have asthma you might not want to use this product. My wife has asthma and fortunately she is in Hawaii for a couple weeks. I had to leave the house for a few hours with the doors and windows open after using it. Now about 6 hours after initial use, it's tolerable but still quite strong. On the plus side, although it is strong, it isn't an unpleasant smell. The powder is very, very fine. I have an Electrolux vacuum cleaner and the bag (new) clogged in about 2 minutes from the powder blocking the micro holes preventing air flow through the bag. I had to remove the bag several times and tap the sides to "clear" the holes and allow airflow again. A 15x15 carpeted room took about 20 minutes to vacuum and I still did not get all the powder out of the carpet. I will have to do it again tomorrow. I decided to let the little bit that is still there to remain overnight hoping to provide a little more positive results with the fleas. Will I use this product again? Probably not because of my wife's asthma. Whether it works for the fleas or not is yet to be seen.

Works well when used over 24 hours.
My beloved pet came down with fleas late in the season. Having had a dog years ago with a terrible case that we struggled to get rid of, I knew what to do. I bought this because, knowing that powder residue left in the carpet will help kill those little pests, I didn't want something that was toxic or smelled terrible. Per the instructions, I put some down in all the areas where my dog spends any sort of time (My entire main floor), and left it there for a couple days (I would have went the 24 hours, but had plans so I figured the additional wait wouldn't hurt) In the past, using this for the 60 minute minimum time didn't completely resolve the issue, but overnight seemed to completely eradicate them. It's got a strong smell, but it isn't too bad, and you definitely will have to dust everything when you clean it up. BUT the good news is, this time around, they were gone with the one application. We still followed up as recommended with a second application a couple weeks later, but I am not sure it was necessary. (Also note the time that flea treatments and shampoo must remain on your pet when bathing them. Some are up to 5 minutes of soapy dog, but if you don't let that sit, you will be shampooing your dog over and over)
