Its good

So.. it's good but my hamster doesn't use it. She has before and yes she was very soft. The bag has holes in it though so it will spill out. Not the products fault though.

Works!

Super big bag and is very odor eliminating. I use mine for my long haired hamster in his bath as well as a little in his bedding. It keeps his cage fresher for longer and helps protect agains wet bottom with his long hair.

Litter or bath?

This product is ment to be used as a dust bath but my little guy uses his bath house as a pee box instead. Works for me since his condo stays cleaner.

Great price & quality bath sand!

The box came very very sandy, which also leaked out onto my other products, but overall this is a super great quality mini-sample box! I placed this in the Kaytee ceramic bath gouse, which my gerbils definitely enjoyed. Just be mindful of where your cage is though! I have a 20gal tank, so they didn't destroy my room, but this sand gets absolutely EVERYWHERE. Gerbils are diggers, so I'd say after they rolled in it once or twice they immediately kicked up the sand everywhere. I'd recommend having a bath day right when you're due to clean the cage anyways:)

my hamster has been so fluffy since.

once i put to much oil on Hamilton's (my hammy) wheel he got a ton of the oils on him so i bought this and my hamster hates getting bathes because, i give it to him. How i do this is simple, the first thing i do is take a pinch of the bath sand and then i sprinkle it on to him, and then hold the hammy, pet him rub him, to rub in the bath sand, this is how i do it so that his eyes, ears, and lungs don't get infected by the sand. even though my hamster doesn't like it at the time it does work fast and does not dry their ski out

Dust Bath

I bought this powder & the critter bath house for my dwarf hamster & she loves this stuff! She loves to roll around & dig in it. I find that she smells & looks better & feels a lot softer. I don't leave it in 24/7 because I'm worried it will dry her out too much or that she'll use it as a potty. I put it in every other day (with fresh dust) for about 30 mins to 1 hour, or until she gets bored with it. My only complaint is that when my order came in & I opened the box, a lot of the bath powder had leaked out & was all over everything! I had to clean the dust off all of my other items. The top of the dust powder box was wide open & the powder was leaking out of the bottom. The box did not look smashed/damaged so I don't see why it should have been wide open.

Works Okay

My dwarf hamster loves this powder but it leaves a coating of dust on the table after he plays in it. I switched to Tiny Friends Farm Bathing Sand which he loves just as much but it doesn't leave any dusting like the powder does.
