I Like these Hook Picks
I really like these hoof picks and the ergonomic handle that fits into your hand well so you can get into all of the crevices in the hoof. I have, ummm, "several" of these as I always like having one available in my pocket. I do not get poked like I am being pierced as the end of these hoof picks are more blunt and rounded so no damage is done to the hoof or my pockets. The wider sides around where the hoof pick curves along with the rubber ergonomic grip make it so you can use the side of the pick to scrape the bottom of the hoof out easy for larger areas like the bars and sole (think snow and packed mud). They have held up over time so if they are dropped I have never had one break in 6 years of owning this kind f pick. No breaks, no bends, just gets pushed into the dirt or ground and needs a hosing. Con: Not rust proof. I don't care what they claim, they are not rust proof and in 6 years I have seen them rust in certain spots so simple regular cleaning and wiping off to maintain your gear is required because if left outside, even in a covered area away from the elements, it will rust at the roundest part of the pick, but it does take a few years. The metal connector/clasp for the tie that goes around the loop to hang rusts in two seconds and is basically worthless, but shows the Oster brand. It is easily replaced with paracord if you so desire. Every hoof pick I own like this the Oster brand clasp rusts out.

Good for picking horses and goats feet.
This works very well for cleaning my goats feet. It really doesn't seem heavy duty enough to pick a horses feet. The handle is nice and it is very comfortable in my hand, which I really like. I can also get a good grip on it. I do find myself picking their feet with the hoof trimmers more than the hoof pick though, just because I already have it in my hand and handy. I have two of these. One that stays in the goat toolbox and one that stays in the horse toolbox. It works equally well for both. Oster usually has great quality products. I haven't been unhappy with any of them yet.

I love using this style pick and it’s cheap enough that once you jack it up buy another one.

Solid hoof pick
Study, nice to hold in the hand, and doesn’t break. What more can you ask for in a hoof pick?

Took Forever to Pick my Horse's Hooves. Thought it was going to break
I used this for the first time yesterday. It took me forever to pick my horse's hooves. Granted, we do have sticky clay, but the two other cheap hoof picks I had before this one did just fine. The entire time, I thought the metal piece was going to give out. It made it through the first use with a slight bend in the end, but I don't expect it to last much longer. On amazon today to find a replacement. Wouldn't recommend this one at all.

sehr stabile Ware und liegt gut in der Hand
wollte mal was anderes kaufen als die 3 Euro Hufauskratzer. Dieser hat zwar keine Bürste dran, ist aber zum Entfernen von grobem Schmutz echt gut. Ich habe ein Kaltblut, da muss alles etwas robuster sein ...! ich denke, der hält jahrelang.

Very Comfortable.
Very comfortable in the hand and the hook does a good job pullin' stuff out of the grooves in the bottom of the hoof.

Exorbitant cost for such a small piece of metal. Next time I will get one from a black smith.
