I Always Have a Need for a Little More Storage!

I always find myself needing a bit more storage and organization. I’m a big fan of Plano ProLatch Stowaway storage bins — especially the Plano ProLatch Stowaway 3700 series. I don’t use them for fishing, but for storage and organization of my miscellaneous odd and ends, hardware, office supplies and any other items I can find around the house that I like to keep safe and organized. I probably have more than 200 of the Plano ProLatch Stowaway 3700 storage bins in various styles. The 3700 series storage bins measure 14”L x 9.13”W, but depending on the style, the depths and number of dividers varies. This particular bin, Plano 23731-01 Deep ProLatch Stowaway Open Compartment, measures: 14”L x 9.13”W x 3.25”H. The only drawback with this bin, which some might not prefer, is the fact that the inside bottom is not flat. It has has 3 raised ridges approximately 1/8” High running longways from side to side. It appears that they might use the same outside mould from their Plano 23730-05 Prolatch Stowaway Deep with Adjustable Dividers. So, if you want the inside bottom to be flat, I would suggest making a fake bottom out of cardboard or a similar material. Personally, these ridges don’t bother me. The Plano ProLatch Stowaway storage bins are extremely sturdy, easily stacked in multiples and the sides and covers are clear, so it is extremely easy to see what is inside of them without having to open anything up. Plano storage bins are an inexpensive way to organize your life! Just fill them up, and slide them on a shelf, in the closet, under the bed and even on a bookshelf. I also have a few of the ProLatch Stowaway XX-Large bins. The XX-Large storage bin is the largest size of this type storage bin that I have and is perfect for those things I don’t have room for, don’t fit in my go to 3700 series bins, but things I want to have access to. The XX-Large bins measure: 17” Long x 16”Wide x 5” Deep. They are a great fit for under the bed storage.

just what I needed

It is perfect for what I use it for. I recently started using hearing aids, I got this to keep all my stuff in.. All the batteries, cleaning supplies, towels, are in one spot. I keep the hearing aids in there at night safe and secure and in the morning I have everything right where I need it. I'm very happy I have it.

Love the item; but consistently damaged

I love them, but can't suggest them. I've purchased 8 of them so far, and will probably go for 2-3 more, they really help organize unused cables and other items that won't fit into a divided version. However, fully 3 of the items were damaged, and probably pre-shipping (with the way some of them were packaged, it would have taken a large amount of damage to the box before it would could have shattered ). A fourth showed up with hinge defects and lock defects. Sounds like an Amazon/Shipping problem, right, and shouldn't be part of the review? Here's the problem with that assumption: I've purchased between 25 and 30 of the subdivided versions - about the same size, shape, shipped the same way, packaged the same. Many of them were shipped in the same box! Not a single one has had any defects or cracks. So, it seems like these have a higher defect rate. I love the ones that work, but that defect rate is terrible.

Great for soft plastics

These are the best thing to use for storing soft plastics. The bags all line up without kinking in this tackle box. I just label the boxes and it is very convenient for finding my baits I want tk fish quickly. Lots of room inside them.

Plano makes great containers. This one has a single large open compartment and fits great alongside other 37-series boxes without having to resort to sterilite containers or other plastic storage boxes.

Ideal For Storage

Plano storage units are very sturdy. It is a convenient size for the storage of small tool and other items of a similar size. I have 6 of them for storing crafts.
