The mask is nothing short of awesome! but the snorkel is garbage
The Mask is absolutely awesome, so good I have spare ones just in case they stop selling them! The 5 stars is worth it for the mask alone. My kids have had these masks for 2 years now and they're still going strong. We live in Texas with a swimming pool so they get a LOT of use and are abandoned/abused by my kids leaving them out in the intense sun for days at a time. The lens is durable and clear with no distortion (not like a lot of cheaper plastic ones) - I think it's tempered glass because it's hard to scratch too. The strap broke on it after about a year or so, but was no trouble to replace with a neoprene one (which are more comfy anyway). The seal around the face is great too - my kids have worn these between the ages of 5 and 9, and I expect they will be just fine into their teens at least. In fact it fits me fine but i do have a narrow face. seals are a personal thing and can fit one person well and another terribly, however I've not found a kid yet these didn't fit perfectly. The only negative comment I have is that the snorkel is terrible. It randomly blocks up so you cant breath in, and for a child trying to trust they can breath with their faces in the water watching fish and suddenly they can't breath, that's terrifying for them. We abandoned them on vacation and bought proper ones. I can't however stress how good the mask is, well worth the money even if the snorkel goes straight in the trash.

Great snorkel set for kids!
This has been a great snorkel set for our kids; we bought them each one. Their ages are 3 1/2 and 7. Mares is a great diving company that we've bought products from for years. Not sure if Head bought them out or what. But the masks fit very well on both girls. The silicon skirts fit so much better than crappy Walmart masks. The snorkel works well for both and they don't come up from being underwater choking....it's a dry snorkeling so water shouldn't get in when they submerge thus making their breathing free and dry upon surfacing. A little bit of water will get in sometimes and it purges out fine as it should. I am ordering them neoprene snorkel retainers to hopefully hold the snorkel in a better position without sliding around too much. I think the add'l $2 is value added because the hard plastic clips aren't all that great. But overall, it was a great first underwater breathing experience in a pool--FOR HOURS!! I'd also recommend buying a $5 plastic box for thr mask to keep them from getting scratched up. We spend the 10 weeks each summer on the beach so the masks will see some saltwater very soon!

Mask and snorkel great. I bought this for my 6 year old and she just loves it. She is very small and mask fits perfect for her. She is still mastering the snorkel but loves the both. Very happy with purchase. Can't be the price it's well worth it.

This work great for both of them
I bought this for my kids to use in Hawaii. Neither had ever snorkeled before. This worked great for both of them. One is 8 and the other 14. The mask fit them both well and the snorkel too. The snorkel is good enough to stay dry even when diving under water. I did not expect this much from a low cost child's mask and snorkel set. Both kids now say the love snorkeling. Exactly what I wanted.
