Questa robusta staffa in alluminio spessa 3/8 fornisce una soluzione economica per il montaggio di un lungo albero fuoribordo su uno specchio di poppa corto. Not a viable option
Good quality, heavy duty plate that I felt good about when I took it out of the box. Mounting was fairly easy. I purchased it because it advertises 5 inches of lift. I am mounting a long shaft 20 inch on a 15 inch transom. 5 inches should have taken care of it. The mounting holes for attaching the plate to the bolt are not adjustable. I mounted it as close to the top of the transom as possible while maintaining the 2 inch minimum distance. Mounting the motor in the center holes put the anticavitation plate a good 3 inches below the bottom of the boat. I lifted the motor as high as I could on the plate. I could not use the top hole because I ran out of adjustment at the bottom slide. I am still 2 inches below the bottom of the boat. I measured the plate at various locations and find the rise at the top is a little over 5 inches, which leads one to believe it will be raised that much on the transom. However, if you measure the rise betwen the mount to transom holes and the motor mount holes, the rise is barely 3 inches. Not being able to use the top hole takes me to 2.25 inches...pretty much the exact distance of how much I am too far below the bottom of the boat. So now, I have drilled two 5/8 inch bolt holes through my transom. I will have to drill new holes through the plate to raise the motor more. As for performance, being so low on the transom makes the boat idle only since it won't even stay on plane at wide open throttle. Also, the top of the plate has the rise cut into it but the bottom does not. So...when I am trying to accelerate as best I can, the bottom of the plate is catching the water and throwing it straight up in the air. Looks like I will have to cut the bottom off the plate too. Not sure how it will affect the strength of the plate but the only other option is to buy a boat with a 20 inch transom, and because the industry has talked you idiots into spending 7500 bucks or more on an aluminum jon boat, which I refuse to pay, I am stuck with what I have. Update- I was not able to keep it on the boat. I ended up buying a 36 inch piece of 3/8 aluminum tubing. I cut the angle on each end like it should have been originally. Mounted it using the same holes I had already drilled in the transom. Drilled holes to mount the motor where it is supposed to be. Should have just made my own to begin with. These are now wall art until I toss them. Waste of 150 bucks.

These are pretty heavy duty brackets and do what they say they'll do. Didn't completely solve my issues, but that is because I was too conservative on the installation and I can't blame the product there. Don't shy away if you have bolted in smaller motors or motors that don't fit the standard template. It's aluminum so drilling holes to fit isn't hard and there is plenty of metal to give you room to do so, especially for smaller outboards.

True American workmanship - great service and product. Highly recommended company. Guys and girls - This product is solid piece of aluminium BUT the holes are only drilled to support 3 inches above the transom - for my boat the holes lined up to 2 inches above the transom. This is really no big deal as you drill the extra holes to extend to the advertised height. My drill bit cost me $25 so if your on a budget factor that in - 13 mm drill bit required. Personally I am very happy with the quality of the aluminium and this product suits my needs - Happy boating people.

easy to install just wish the drilling was done to fit 1/4" hardware. calipers showed it just under that so had to run 3/16" so I didn't have to drill out mounting holes. but it really holds up well for my 35hp motor. Cant wait to try it out and see how the offset changes up my boat how it runs in shallow water.

Looks like a great product... BUT
Bought first one 7/5/19. It was scratched up and was installed. looked like bolt holes would align. Got another.. also looked like it was installed. No scratches, I kept it. In the middle of replacing my Transom on my 1972 Kona. 1971 1350 Mercury inline 6. Finally done. I'm thinking it will match my bolt holes on my motor. It is what they say.. The Answer is not unless you want it to look like a 3 year old put it on. doesnt sit straight. So now aftger I plug a couple of holes in my new transome and build a baby transome for the mounts. Jurys still out. So.. As far as the product goes. count on nothing.. period would be nice if we had information for installation from the manufacturer.

Installed on my G3. I have a 9.9 Yamaha 4 stroke. Wanted better clearance for my Triple Shot Transducer. Requires a person with reasonable knowledge for install but I did with common hand tools.

dont listen to people who dont know what they're doing
it absolutely does give you the rise and set back as advertised as long as you set both the plates and motor at the upmost positions. the only way yours are not being set high enough are that your bolts through the transom are not properly spaced vertically. and that is no fault of the plates but your own. they performed well and solid and looked pretty cool for the money
