Fixed it

Faucet set/dispenser only a couple of years old, but soap dispenser stopped working. As others reported, soap would not dispense, but when taken out and put in water, would dispense water. Was skeptical that this part would fix the problem, but it did! Pumps out soap again just like new

Thank you very much to the person who explained how to change out the pump mechanism, I was able to pop in the new pump quickly and easily as soon as it arrived because of the tip you provided. In the past I had to replace the whole dispenser-- have had to do so 3 times as it only seems to last about a year. Am VERY glad to have found a fix that's only $13. Still, I will never buy a PP product again (except for this pump part, which I just ordered 3 more of).

Replaced my original pf pump with this one. I used amazon and searched the number on the side of my old pump. It found the number in the questions.

Get Pumped

Price-Pfister apparently has some quality problems with their soap dispensers--the original lasted 15 months. Anyway, what I had to dig for was info on how to remove the old soap dispenser pump and put in the new one. To do it, you simply PULL the old one out and PUSH the new one in. My old one was pretty hard to pull out. You would THINK Price-Pfister would put in an instruction slip with the replacement part or at least have this on their website where I could find it, but NOOOOOooo. From looking at it, I thought I would probably have to unscrew it using a special tool. I did find out it was just a pull/push via another website which I would give here but amazon just deletes the link. Nice. Update: 5/21/2010 After about 6 weeks, the new one I bought developed a problem (and this may have been the same problem I had with the original pump, so try this before you buy a replacement): the plastic tube that immerses within the soap started to leak air where it fits into the pump. So I dried out the whole thing, then Elmer's glued it into place to seal the connection. Elmer's is water-soluble so I don't know how long this will last--where I glued should not have much contact with the soap. But if that fails, I'll just go to a waterproof glue. Problem solved. Price-Pfister continues to drop the ball on this unit. Update 06/11/2010: The Elmer's glue has gone liquid (but it's still working so far) in the wet environment, so use Gorilla Glue or something else that's waterproof. Update 01/05/2011: Gorilla Glue finally failed, but I just redid with Gorilla glue again and back in business. I'll try one of the commenters' suggestions next time.

It is a replacement for another pump which crapped out prematuraly. Hope this one lasts longer!

Not one size Pfits all

I contacted Pfister about this and was told that it was universal and they used the same pump in all of their faucet models. While the body is the same, the shaft was different and my pump head wouldn't fit on this pump. Useless for me.

Great fit, easy install and very affordable fix.

After the head broke off of our soap dispenser in the kitchen I went on the hunt to replace it. I finally found this product which was a direct replacement of our unit and was at a great price. Installation was a snap, we pulled out the broken unit and pushed this one in. It's been in place now for several months and we've had no issues with it at all. Great fit, easy install and very affordable fix.

1 minute fix! My wife was so grateful

After about 2.5 years my dish soap pump stopped working. I came home to my wife heating a paper clip on the stove to try and fix whatever clog she imagined was in there. Once I prevented her from burning herself I ordered this replacement and 3 days later my wife could do dishes again without the trauma of having to pour soap from the bottle. I even convinced her that it took me hours to do and that I rebuilt the pump myself when it took me about 10 seconds to pull the old pump from the head and pop in the new one.

Breckenridge Undermount Soap Dispenser Fixed!

The media could not be loaded. My renovator accidentally broke my internal part of this Breckenridge soap dispenser, however, I was very satisfied that this $20 fix did the job well! Highly recommended!
