Very good quality and price
Bought this to keep dog from jumping over fence and has worked very well. Dog was easily trained to stay away from fence. We only had to use 2nd lowest setting. Very pleased with this invisible fence product. I installed on top of fence, too lazy to dig to bury line. Has held up to weather very well. Had to use 2 rows of wire to cover 2 acres. No loss of electrical strength with long length. The collar holds a charge for over 3 months.

It’s ok..
Installation was easy. It goes up to 5 acres but only has 500 foot wire. You need to buy more if you have a larger area. I twisted the wire and it broke off easily. I hope the wire lasts long. Also it only goes down to 5 feet on the fence line so I lost a lot of space in their area. They can’t come to the fence to greet me without getting corrected. I’ll have to move the wire back again to fix that. My dog still got out not sure why he didn’t get corrected. I rechecked to make sure the collar was on correctly. We’ll see again how it goes. I’ll eventually buy more wire to cover the full area that I was hoping to cover. Seems over priced for the quality. But it’s holding up as of now.

Wish I bought this sooner!
I have over 1.5 acres. My younger dog is a horrible listener and my older dog is a hunting beagle. I’ve lived in my house for three years now and have always used the remote collars but I always had to watch them. Installed this about a month ago. Very easy and the power source is in my greenhouse so I didn’t have to twist a lot of line to cancel the signal at that part. I put it around about an acre of land with the extra wire. Very easy to do. Put the collar on and with a few days of practice the puppy knew where he could and couldn’t go. Ordered another collar for my older dog and she learned very quickly too. Now I can leave my back door open for them and they can come in and out as they please. I no longer have the stress of them running away and can keep them outside with me without having to constantly watch them. Definitely recommend!!

Works Great
I attached the wire on my fence with gutter hangers for Christmas lights, a lot easier than putting in the ground. I used an edge trimmer to put the wire in the ground where there was no fence handy. Careful and don't nick the wire that will stop signal when it's in the ground.

Died after a month
The collars worked great. The "Brain Box" was fine for about 5 weeks before it crapped out. The proximity wire was inspected AND then replaced, so that is not the issue. I would have given 5 starts if the main box didn't die so quickly.

Life-Saver!
Fantastic In-ground fence. We have a little Houdini on our hands and would escape and go missing. I think he even figured out how to get over our eight foot fence. He gets super mopey when I leave for the day and he has the collar put on his neck. We have it on the lowest setting which is plenty of deterrent for our little guy. Thank you.

Good Quality Dog Collars
These PetSafe Classic collars were ordered to replace older ones for two beagles. The collars have audible and vibration as warnings to the dogs before they get to the shock levels. We were able to use the same underground wire that was installed and just put the new controller in place of the old one and setup the new collars. The dogs were getting out because the older unit's signal was not strong anymore. These work great and the dogs are staying inside the fence line. The area is almost a full acre.

Costs a little more, but worth it
I bought a cheaper brand before this one that we used for a couple of years before the collars died and I couldn't get replacements. The cheaper brand would occasionally beep when it shouldn't. Haven't had any issues like that with PetSafe brand. All the components just feel better quality and worth the extra $$.

Buy this!
If you have a reasonable sized yard and don't mind putting in a day's work - buy this product! For $250 or less you're getting amazing value. I've had others in my neighborhood tell me they were quoted $4,000+ to have a company come in, install an in-ground fence, and train their dog... I essentially got the exact same thing at a fraction of the price. Also, PetSmart's customer service is second to none... honestly it's that good. My dog caught onto the fence within a week and it's been an absolute game changer. We both have freedom!

Item arrived in used condition. Very disappointing
I returned this immediately after opening. It was clearly used and looked it. Some wear on it, parts assembled that shouldn't be in a new box and no plastic packaging around anything. Very disappointing
