high quality
Once you figure out how to fold and unfold this it is great. Lightweight and easy to move around. Doesn't scratch floors. A high quality, thick material, well sown soft crate for crate trained dogs that don't try to dig out of it. Not right for all dogs. I love that it opens on either the end or the side, so you have more options of where to put it. I wish it had a water dish holder inside instead of the silly water bottle hole, but nothing is perfect. I've had several of these in different sizes and all last for years of regular use. Oct 2019 - I purchased two more of these. The previous ones are still in great condition, no complaints at all. The new ones are made with a water proof material, high quality, slightly different, but match the earlier one. The new ones cost a little more and did not come with a carrying case and strap and didn't include any stakes for the corners like the three previous ones I bought did. Still high quality zippers and good strong material and good mesh. Over all, better then any others I have found. Like that they open on two sides plus the top. Wish the new ones included a carrying case like the older ones. The stakes I only use occasionally anyway, so didn't matter they don't give you those anymore.

Solved a major dilemma for us
I keep a crate in my car as there is almost always one or more dogs traveling with me. The topic of safety came up and I was very concerned that in a rear end accident I might not be able to free the dog(s) because I had a rigid crate that opens only from one end. We have a duplicate fiber glass crate in the house for puppies and as my children and I were pondering a modification that would give us an emergency access door in the side, my wife looked at us and asked why not use a soft sided crate! Eureka! I ordered the Precision Pet Soft Side crate immediately and installed it into our car. With the shoulder strap of the seat belt looped over the top, and a strap through the top carrying handles that goes around the drivers headrest it is totally secure in case of an accident and it has zipper access all around plus it could be cut if necessary. Our 65 lb Black Lab loves it so much that she often has to be coaxed out when we arrive at our destination. It has often had two 65 lb Labs (who are 'friends') ride in it. They fill it but can ride side by side easily although certainly not for extended trips. Additionally whenever we need to remove it it has handles and weighs so little that it is an easy one person job. Yes, a puppy could scratch through the mesh, but with older dogs that have put that part of their life behind them it is a really versatile crate.

Nice Big Crate, But a Bit of a Pain
The floor is nice and firm but covered with soft material. I have a 120 lb, rather tall, dog and have had a hard time finding a travel crate that is big enough for him. However, the size and shape of this is perfect. I also LOVE that there is a door on the short side of this crate so that I can put this on the back seat of my car and he can get in that way. This seems to be a difficult to find feature in soft travel crates. I will say my dog is very well crate trained, but if he were not I don't know that this would contain him. Zippers and fabric feel a little thin. Also, I was confused and thought that the water bottle holder on the side would enable me to put a crate-type water bottle in it so that the dog could drink water on a long car trip. This is not the case. It is just a pocket with no hole to the inside. Another issue is that even folded down, due to its dimensions and construction it still takes up a lot of space. Finally, you do have to crawl into the crate to set it up...so if you have a bad back I wouldn't recommend this. I'm just happy that my dog has a travel crate that he can finally lay down and stretch out in.

Great for dog shows...not for crate training
I never use a soft crate for crate training. I use a wire crate for crate training. They are puppies and puppies chew and dig. This is not for a dog who has separation anxiety either. I use this kind of crate to go to dog agility trials where I will always be close by and my dog is already crate trained and has learned to relax in a crate and nap while I'm gone. They are easy to set up, take down (once I figured out how to extend and retract the top side bars that support the roof) and easily pack in my car. Well made material. I love the "sunroof". It's easy to get my dog out and put her back in (she usually hops back in). I can store my leash and other things in the pockets. I keep a water bowl outside the crate just in case it gets knocked over or bumped into, so I really don't need the "water hole". It takes a long time for a soft sided crate to dry (speaking from experience here). I love that it comes with a carrying case with a shoulder strap and shorter carrying straps. PLUS it comes with a thin crate pad!! How cool is that! I liked it so much that I bought a second one for my younger dog.

Nice crate ... plus ...
I purchased this to use at dog shows. I take 2, sometimes 3 10 lb dogs, so this would give plenty of room for them to be together. I made the mistake of not measuring properly. It's very difficult to carry in my car. It would have been pricey to exchange with shipping, so I kept it. I never thought I'd use it in the way that I am, but it's a perfect substitute for a childs pack and play. My grandaughter loves it. The entire top zips back. It's plenty roomy, and I've got an extra pad and blanket to make it cushy. SOoooo, if you want a place for a small child to sleep in, or a dog crate ... it's your choice ;-) The only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars, is with all of the open mesh on all but one side, it would have been nice to have rolled side curtains. I made my own, but so many less expensive ones come already equiped with them. The curtains help to calm dogs, and give a more secure feeling.

My favorite pet crate, with some adjustments
This is the second one I have had. The first one after many years of use had a front zipper failure from too much dog hair stuck in the zipper and continuing efforts to clear. The only problem with this new one was that the cross-bars were too tight to fit into their holes. My son was able to fix this by trimming the cross-bars so that they fit more easily and can still be expanded to tighten.

Difficult to put together and take apart.
Returned this item for two reasons: it was NOT easy to put together and take apart (quite difficult), and the size is 2 inches shorter than the metal 4000 Precision crate which makes it too small for my dog - I didn't check the measurements, just assumed it would be the same, was surprised there was a difference. I think the quality is good material, and it looks nice. I don't think the carry bag is necessary as it folds neatly and securely, the shoulder strap loops could just be sewn to the crate and the strap stored in the pocket, this would save on material and cost. I bought two other soft crates - the Tuff soft crate from Petland. I liked everything about this crate except for the size, medium was too small, large was too big - no in between 36' size available. After I returned the Presicion crate I bought the Noz2Noz which is the one I kept. Perfect size - actually taller than most crates this size ( 27") so lots of head room, easy to put together and take down, looks nice, folds neatly and securely. The Noz2Noz Does not come with a bed, which suits me fine, as the others came with bedding that was too thin and not much padding, so I would have used my dogs regular bed anyway.

Precision is perfect
This crate was purchased to house our 8 month old very active duck toller at night in our bedroom. The other crate we had was made of hard plastic and every time the puppy moved at night, it woke us up. The canvass is much quieter. The pupy did not hesitate to go in. We had purchased a different brand & it was afraid to enter as the entrance was lower. There's lots of ventilation, very roomy, we did add a more comfortable cushion as the one provided is very thin.

Quality Kennel!
This kennel is quality made and is perfect for my son's therapy dog when he attends school. Easy to put together and has nice window areas for the dog to see out of. The kennel comes in various sizes and is not only sturdy but is light weight. Perfect for our needs.

Versatile crate
I Use it for transporting my puppy in the car and its perfect. I had a smaller one that he grew out of so I purchased the larger size. Its easy to get him in and out and he is comfortable in there.
