Il sistema di filtraggio dell'acqua OB1 per tutta la casa 10 di OMNIFilter è progettato per case di dimensioni medie con 3/4 linee d'acqua in entrata ed è ideale sia per applicazioni con acqua di pozzo che con acqua di città. All in one kit
I use the 10" whole-house filter for drinking water located under the kitchen sink. I make carbonated water so the housing has a coconut carbon filter cartridge installed. The Pentair Pentek has an integrated bracket for mounting. This is so much less expensive as no separate bracket has to be purchased for $8 to $14 to mount the housing. It also comes with a bowl wrench which is also a separate purchase with other filters housings which cost $9 to $13. These two add-ons increase total price yet the Pentair is an all-in-one kit! This filter housing does not have a shut-off valve yet for my application this is not required. For a whole house application ball valves are installed on either side of the housing. Then a housing shut-off is not required. Ball valves are also very trouble-free. If a 3/4" NPT connection is not required - as this housing is - then the 'Pentair Pentek 158643 3G Slim Line Filter Housing, 3/8" NPT #10 Under Sink Clear Water Filter Housing, Integral Bracket Cap with Pressure Relief Button, 10 Inch, Blue/Clear' is a better choice yet my not include a wrench.

Simple and Effective
I installed this on our kitchen sink. the installation was simple. The location added the difficulty. If you have clear open access to the wall you are mounting this on, it will be a snap. Trying to install it under the sink behind the water supply lines and the drain pipe does add an extra degree of difficulty. Connecting the water lines is simple. They even put arrows on the housing to show the water flow direction. It uses any 2.5" X 10" filter, so you can purchase the filter type to suit your situation.

Bracket forces flow from left to right
I wish I had realized this before purchasing. This replaced a 10" (non-clear) version that had a removable metal bracket so the filter could be installed with flow in either direction. With a fixed mounting bracket on only one side, it can only be mounted with the input on left, and output on the right - just the opposite of my current configuration. For now, it's hanging from the plumbing until I can figure out a way how to reverse the piping without creating too many 90° turns.

Easy to install
I had to move some plumbing around as this is a newer model than my original one. This one has a mounting bracket on the housing to mount on a wall but my setup was free standing. I had to move it away from the water meter that our township installed.

Secure your home water supply
We use this filter to help purify our water supply. It can remove down to 5 microns depending on the filter you choose. However, I initially installed it to protect my home appliances from a well head failure and the subsequent flow of sand that will inundate and ruin your home plumbing and destroy all your appliances, sinks and toilets. This knowledge comes from the experience of having that happen to my home.

O-Ring
Looks like a well made unit but it's so frustrating to get it from leaking after the filter has been replaced. Yah, they tell you not to over tighten, but at one point do you stop? 3 times I took it appart trying something different, even used permagum. Didn't work. Someone suggested to use lots of teflon tape. After I did that, it finnally stoped to leak. I think that the manufacturer should put the use of teflon tape into their instructions and don't skimp on the tape. Maybe an O-ring with a slightly thicker diameter? Keeping my fingers crossed that it will go well the next time.

Horrible product avoid, total waste of time and money
Product material is good quality but product is horrible leaks from both gasket ring and pressure release valve and by the time I tried it, could no longer return it. Plumber wasted so much time on this thing!
